25.01.2022 The AGM of the Luddenham Show Society will be held this Wednesday the 12th of August in the Pavilion at 8pm. New Members are Welcome and annual membership fees are now due. Regrettably, there will be NO supper or Drinks after the meeting this year. Social distancing will be enforced at the meeting. Hope to see you there but PLEASE stay at home if you are feeling unwell. 25.01.2022 The Sydney Royal Easter Show will be held from 1 - 12 April, 2021. Unfortunately, in order to proceed with the 2021 Sydney Royal Horse Show the Royal Agricultu...ral Society of NSW Horse Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the following competitions, sections and classes for the 2021 Show: Team Penning Buckskin Classes (All classes) Ranch Sorting Palomino Classes (All classes) Equestrian Vaulting Pinto Classes (All classes) Horseball Heavy Horse Obstacle Classes Small Arena Campdraft (All events) Shetland Light Harness Yearling Classes over all Breeds Police Classes and Musical Rides FURTHER The Federation Challenge Rodeo Series will be held over 6 days from 1 April to 6 April and there will be no PBR Rodeo Competition. The World Championship Campdraft will also be held over 6 days from 7 April to 12 April. These changes are required to ensure the success of the Sydney Royal Horse Show next year. Entries for the Sydney Royal Horse Competition Breeds, Hacks, Harness, Riding and Showjumping will open Thursday 3rd of December 2020. This week you will receive further information regarding competition closing dates and 2021 guidelines.

23.01.2022 On Wednesday the 13th the Show Committee will make a decision as to if the 2021 Luddenham Show will proceed. COVID 19 has changed the World and it is important to take everything into account before a decision is made.

The RAS is currently... working on how some of their competitions and exhibits will be run under COVID-19 safe rules and regulations. We have also cancelled our monthly Show Society Meetings until further notice, we will keep the committee updated with emails. Please Take Care and Keep Safe.

20.01.2022 Great News today with the announcement that up to 5,000 people can attend a country Show from January 2021. As mentioned earlier Luddenham Show Society is still planning to hold our 117th Annual Show on 6th & 7th March 2021, we will work within in the COVID environment at the time.

07.01.2022 Luddenham Show Society is excited for the start of the monthly Luddenham Country Markets this Sunday 5th July 10am to 2pm at the Luddenham Showground

07.01.2022 Thanks to Tanya Davies MP for organising a grant for $167,155.00 for the Luddenham Show Society, from the NSW Governments COVID-19 Stimulus Package. The money will be used to asphalt the main walk & driveways as well as a new multipurpose shed, the shed will be 45 metres by 14 metres with a concrete floor and it will become the home for the Animal Nursery, Poultry, Small Animals (we are looking at introducing some new animal classes) as well as the Cattle. This multipurpose... building will also be available to be used for other events and functions, 15 metres by 14 metres will be enclosed and the rest will be open. The old cattle pavilion will be pulled down to make way for more bigger rides and the old poultry pavilion will become the New Luddenham Museum, the museum will focus on the heritage of Luddenham and its rural and farming background as the area changes with Western Sydney Airport under 2kms away. 05.01.2022 On the 13th of January the Committee of the Luddenham A H & I Society Inc unanimously decided to cancel the 2021 Luddenham Show. We did look at moving this year’s Show to later in the year but it was decided it would be better to cancel this year completely. With the uncertain future of COVID-19, the changing daily circumstances and the unknown restrictions that may apply in March, the Committee made this tough decision with the health, safety and wellbeing of the whole commu...nity in mind. Luddenham Show Society would like to take this opportunity to thank the local community, sponsors, supporters, volunteers and exhibitors for their support over the years and look forward to working with you all in the future. 05.01.2022 134TH ANNUAL HAWKESBURY SHOW CANCELLED Friday 1 - 3 May 2020 The Hawkesbury Agricultural Association informs that the 134th Annual Hawkesbury Show, scheduled fo...r 1 3 May 2020 has been cancelled in response to COVID 19 and the need to comply with the order issued by the Minister for Health and Medical Research under Section 7 of the Health Act 2010. This order remains in place until 14th June 2020 Whilst this is extremely disappointing to all concerned, the health and safety of members, patrons and exhibitors is of the upmost importance. Our 2021 Show is scheduled for 23 to 25 April 2021 and we will certainly be working towards making this a premier event for both the Hawkesbury and the greater regional community. We are extremely appreciative of the support provided by our sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and members and look forward to a continuation of these important relationships. Thanks everyone for their understanding and support.
