23.01.2022 Some wonderful news for our Ludmilla Community! We have been successful in our application to be part of the What’ll happen to the wattle??! program. Supported by the Australian Space Agency, the "What’ll happen with the wattle??!" program is being offered to 150 schools, scout groups and Australian Air Force Cadets across Australia. One Giant Leap Australia is sending native golden wattle seeds to the International Space Station in early December, 2020, where the wattl...e seeds will live in space for six months. The seeds will then return to Australia in time for Science Week 2021. Throughout the program, One Giant Leap Australia will run teleconferences and provide educational support and the 12-month to 2 year project will result in the creation of a nationwide map identifying the location of Australia‘s 'space wattle’ trees. The project is a historic opportunity for Australian schools and we cannot wait to begin! We will be up early to watch our wattle seeds launch to space. #What’llHappenToTheWattle??! #SeedsInSpace #ScienceWeek2021

05.01.2022 Last week our upper primary students celebrated their graduation from the Children’s University. Children’s University celebrates learning that sits outside of the classroom and class time. Their program aims to create students who are actively and productively involved in their own learning. We are extremely grateful for our ongoing partnership with the Children’s University program, Charles Darwin University and also the international students, studying a Masters of Education, who come to Ludmilla Primary School every lunchtime to support our students’ reading. Thank you #ChildrensUniversity #CDU

01.01.2022 You Would Not Believe It The students in Year 1/2/3 Henschke have been having so much fun writing, You Would Not Believe It stories. Below are just some of the fun and outrageous stories they have come up with. You would not believe it but yesterday a crocodile came to school and guess what happened! Well, it jumped in the swimming pool. He was trying to bite us. So I grabbed him around the neck and pulled him out. He walked to another pool and he walked back to the beach. ...Continue reading
