21.01.2022 Lugarno Lions Club and friends of the club from Sing Australia, the SES and Riverwood Air League would like to thank the community for their generous donations during our bucket collection over the weekend for bush fire victims. Almost $20,000 was raised at Hurstville, Penshurst and Mortdale railway stations as well as Riverwood Plaza, Roselands, Menai Marketplace, Westfield Hurstville and Bankstown Central. The money will be given to the Australian Lions Foundation Disaster ...Relief Account. Lions Clubs in affected areas know where the greatest needs are and will approach the Foundation for monetary assistance. 100% of donations made to us go straight to the Disaster Relief fund i.e with no expenses or commissions. Once again, many thanks for your generous donations to our bucket collection and other appeals.

12.01.2022 LUGARNO LIONS 2020 SPRING FESTIVAL It is with great regret that the Lions Club of Lugarno has taken the decision to cancel the 2020 Spring Festival scheduled for 20 September 2020. The principle reason is that there are too many unknowns and far too great a risk to proceed. The current health crisis is too unstable to risk lives by holding an event that has the potential of many thousands of people.... The club is very appreciative of the support of many patrons and hopes that we can regenerate these partnerships again in 2021 once the crisis is over. The nominated date for the 2021 event is 19th September 2021. We thank you for all your support and hope to see you in 2021. More than 100 volunteers, families, friends and Volunteer Involving Organisations came together for the Southern Sydney regional ceremony for the awards, with another amazing cohort of finalists selected to represent the region at the Gala State Ceremony later in the year. The NSW 2019 Volunteer of the Year Awards have grown to become Aus...tralias largest event to celebrate and recognise volunteering.
