24.01.2022 To all our Luka’s customers, Thankyou all who came in today and ordered food it was honestly one of the busiest saturdays we have had to date and I apologise if anyone tried to call and wasn’t able to get through or come in and got turned away. We had no idea how this weekend would go providing the current situation regarding the covid-19 new indoor restrictions/social distancing regulations.... Thankyou all for being incredibly patient with us, tomorrow we will have a very limited menu. As most of you know it’s impossible to get a lot of different food items, but we hope to see as many of you as we can cater for! The team @ Luka’s

24.01.2022 Attention customers: Due to the new tighter restrictions on indoor spaces and social distancing, its crucial we make changes to the way we run our business if we continue to trade. These changes are in effect as of now:... - Limit to ONE customer in the shop at any given time. - You place an order and wait outside no exceptions. *Customers waiting outside for orders must be abiding by the 1.5m distancing rule. This is for your own safety and safety of others. We advise only one person coming to the shop to place an order, (not groups of family members or friends) - NO CASH sales, Eftpos only. We understand this will cause a lot more phone traffic as customers will want to place orders over the phone as we do not have online ordering. You must understand that we will try our best to answer every call but there will be time’s we are too busy, or have too many orders at once. So we ask everyone to be patient as this is a stressful time for EVERYONE and the extra stress is not necessary. As long as we continue to keep trading, we ask you all to respect the following rules, anyone acting abusive or causing a scene will be asked to leave. Our staff are doing all they can, as well as risking their own health to continue doing their job to provide a service to locals. Let’s all work together, not against each other. Stay safe. 23.01.2022 Dear Luka’s customers, to provide the utmost safety to our customers and staff, we please ensure you don’t visit the store if you are presenting any of the symptoms of the covid-19 virus. We encourage more customers to place phone orders when you can as this will lessen the amount of people waiting in store. Keep in mind Friday evenings are our most busiest time of the week so only so many phone orders can be placed. There is more than an half hour wait on instore orders Fri...day nights so we encourage you not to wait in store, as it is a small confined space. Just like all our battered products...it’s a time consuming process which means we can unfortunately run out from time to time, especially during our busy periods! Our batter is made from scratch, just plain old flour and water! Deep fried in traditional tallow! ... 09.01.2022 Dear Customers, As Easter week approaches us, we would like to inform you of our changes to the trading hours... Good Friday: 12pm-7.30pm... Easter Saturday: 4pm-8pm Easter Sunday: 11am-4pm Easter Monday Closed * reminder there is no phone orders or pre-orders accepted Good Friday. * Eftpos only and ‘ONE’ customer ordering in store, at any given time please. (This is per government health advice and restrictions re the coronavirus pandemic, we can be heavily fined if not complied with) * 15% surcharge on ALL orders, this applies to all the public holidays! Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Sunday. (They are all classed as Public holidays) We have had to limit hours Saturday due to the new delivery schedule from our suppliers, we are unable to receive any orders after Thursday the 9th, so whatever stock we have is all we can get for the whole weekend! We will order as much as we can so please be understanding if we do run out of something, although we will try our best to have as much as possible! 05.01.2022 Dear Luka’s customers, Just a quick message to say Thankyou for a yet another busy Friday! We understand some of you are trying to get through on the phones or in store and we are unable to take any orders after a certain time, just a reminder that sometimes we are simply too busy to keep up with the high demand of orders. ... We have to stop orders at a certain time to ensure we have adequate stock and are able to complete the orders we have ( which are in most cases backed up till closing time) Since COVID-19 we are one of the only fish and chips shops in our area still open! We are trying as best we can to cater to everyone however this simply isn’t always the case. We are a small family run shop, with limited stock storage space and although we continue to order/prep more on a weekly basis it’s not always enough. Majority of customers are absolutely lovely and are understanding and we can’t Thankyou enough! We have been copping a lot of backlash for closing early some evenings and people not being able to get their orders in and we understand that can be frustrating, however if we can’t get your orders in we really do apologise and hope to see you another time! There is plenty of other delicious food choices in palmie in the meantime
