25.01.2022 Here we have a clone of the EHX Big Muff Green Russian. I tried a few different modifications to alter the scooped mids big muffs are known for. In the end I came up with my own switch configuration. It's a three position switch. In the middle it has stock values. To the left, it reduces the low pass filter capacitor, boosting the mids and making the sound bright. To the right, it increases the high pass filter capacitor which flattens out the scooped mids.

23.01.2022 The new addition to the workshop (well the 2nd workshop formerly known as the garage) is a laser cutter/engraver. My first project was the graphics on the enclosure for a fuzz face circuit I've been tinkering with. It's called fujiko face and is designed to stand out in a full band situation. 20.01.2022 This is the first time that I've put my own branding in the headstock of one of my guitars. This is solid rock maple that has been laser cut and inlayed in the rosewood headstock. 18.01.2022 A mate asked me to make him a Big Muff. I used the "Green Russian" schematic but added a 3 way switch, which alters the tone section of the circuit. 16.01.2022 Fuzz frenzy. I made this fuzz pedal over the Easter holidays. The circuit is a clone of the Vzex Fuzzolo. I engraved the graphics on a CNC machine and rubbed in some black and red paint so it would stand out. I liked the sound but it is noisy and cuts some of the high frequencies. In a search for the perfect fuzz pedal I then made test circuits for the Subdecay Stupid Box, Dead Astronaut X Fuzz and the Vzex Woolly Mammoth. The Woolly Mammoth sounds great, just waiting for some enclosures to arrive so I can box it up. #lukeleenders #luthier #custompedal #pedal #custom #pedalobsessed

It can run off a battery or standard 9V DC negative centre power supply. 12.01.2022 Guitar tube amp head. I have been working on this for a while, from prototyping the circuit to the internal layout and finally chassis fabrication. Three tube 2 x 12ax7, 1 x ecc99, maybe 3-4 watts. I think it sounds pretty good and takes pedals really well.

07.01.2022 I built this compact pedal as a quick project today. It is a clone of the ZVex Super Hard On boost pedal in a small enclosure. 06.01.2022 I picked up a little Orange Micro Terror amp head a few weeks ago. It sounds great so I decided to make a special speaker cabinet for it. I added 3 speakers: a Jensen 6", Celestion eight 15 and a Jensen 10" electric lightning. I wired in a three-way switch so I could easily change between speakers and I included an extra input jack so I can plug in different amps. #luthier #lukeleenders #amp #orangeamp

02.01.2022 I made this bridge for my electric guitar a while back (see post from 28/9/15). I wanted to increase the sustain and a good way to do this is to increase the mass of the bridge. So I shaped this new one from a slice of railway track I had laying around.
