25.01.2022 While it may seem like its been quiet for Luke Armstrong Mechanical as the financial year draws to a close, the pictures below tell a different story. The workshop is undergoing an upgrade of intergral workshop facilities which include a new 4 post hoist and new air compressor. Plans permitting there will be more upgrades in the near future. These upgrades will allow us to provide an even better service for our regular customers as well as seek new clients in the 4wd and sma...ll commercial vehicle sectors of the market. 20.01.2022 Quite a random assortment of work in the shop today. Customer noticed the exhaust note changed on his LX470 and upon closer inspection we found a small hole in the exhaust system. Patched and grinded away you would never know it was there. While the welder was out we made up a bracket to allow the customer easy access to his bike rack with his caravan attached. 18.01.2022 Another week down in the workshop with quite an array of different vehicles to work on. One of which was a Chevrolet Silverado owned by part of the Armstrong Mechanical family. The work list included a major service, repairs to the electrical and air conditioning systems as well as replacement of a seat cover and interior carpet. This sort of work is not something we would normally attempt as it takes years of practice to do the job well, but given its for family we thought we would expand our skill set.

15.01.2022 Doing a little bit of an overhaul on this old girl before the customer starts his journey across Australia to the west coast. As well as a major service and some repairs to the braking system we will be replacing the shock absorbers and attending to a major oil leak. 07.01.2022 Getting into some dirty work at Luke Armstrong Mechanical today. Nikkos Marinos noticed his Hilux lacking in acceleration and general performance. With the quality of diesel fuel in Australia combined with late servicing means that carbon build up is a common problem we incur. Basically the engine cant breathe properly causing poor fuel consumption and the drive-ability of the vehicle will suffer accordingly. After removing and thoroughly cleaning the air intake system, throttle valve and EGR components you can see the difference below. The vehicle is now running better than ever and the customer will be looking to install a catch can to help manage further buildup.

07.01.2022 New week in the workshop and were putting our new 4 post hoist to use. Testing its muscle with this 100 series Landcruiser. These vehicles have a GVM of approximately 3200kg and with a few accessories can add another couple of hundred kilograms. With the addition of the new hoist we are able to work on 4wd and light commercial vehicles safely and efficiently. When a major service on this sort of vehicle can take up most of the day being able to service in a more efficient manner ensures repairs are completed in the quoted repair time and vehicles ready for pickup in a timely fashion. I would like to point out that " Chris Ryan " has never received services provided by myself or staff under any circumstances, and if so feel free to present any invoice from me stating the offence in concern. I will be happy to break it down with comparative prices supplied by other companies.
