17.01.2022 Free 6 Week Home Training Plan!!! Almost 1 month without the gym and boy do I miss it!! That first session back is gonna be something else. But just cos the gyms are closed that’s no excuse at all to be lazy and sit on your ass all day long. Some of us are lucky enough to have some gym equipment but others are not and have to get creative with body weight and band exercises for there workouts. During this time it is super super super important that we are all making sure we g...et in a good amount of exercise per day, eat well and do everything we can to keep our immune system working at its peak! So to keep you all active while at home I’ve made up two 6 week home workout plans you can download for FREE!!!! 15.01.2022 Gyms are back!!! It’s been a long time but boy I can’t wait to hit that first session back tonight!! Many of you may feel like you have lost muscle, lost strength or gained fat. But whatever you do, don’t stress about it. It happens. But it is a fantastic opportunity to get back into gear and make some serious gainzzzz!! After months of band workouts or possibly not training at all, your muscles will respond extremely well to any stimulus they are given. So in the next few we...eks getting back into the gym, these would be my key points of focus for you all: 1: Don’t stress over muscle loss: Muscle memory is a thing and a powerful thing at that. You may have lost some muscle but you can get it back and you will. Get back into a good training routine and put a load on the muscle and they will grow. After this extended period off proper training you also have an opportunity to possibly even grow more muscle than you had before if you do everything right. Utilise this stimulus and smash your sessions over the next few weeks. 2: Your strength will come back so don’t go trying to lift what you did 3 months ago: It may seem hard but again muscle memory is a thing and your strength will come back. If 3 months ago you did 50kg then this week just start at 25kg, and make sure to warm up before that too. You need to get your body used to training again so don’t go in there guns blazing trying to lift crazy weight cos guess what, it won’t happen and you will likely end up injuring yourself and then guess what. No gym again! 3: Track your lifts: Applying a form of progressive overload to your training it hands down the most important thing you must do in the gym. Starting back out it will be even more important to record what you do this week then next week try and beat that lift, with either more weight or reps. Again you have a massive opportunity to take advantage of this period and build some muscle so record your sessions, apply overload and make some gainz. 4: Have Fun!!!! It’s been a fkn long ass wait but our home is finally back, so enjoy it, keep your distance from people in the gym but still say Gday, have a good yarn, enjoy the socialising we have all missed! 11.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT!!! It’s been a long time in the making but I’m super excited to announce that I will now be offering 1 on 1 Personal Training Sessions at Body Sculpting & Fitness . This has been something I have wanted to do for so so long and I am so excited that this dream is coming true. I love doing my online programming for my clients and will continue to do so, but have always wanted to train them 1 on 1 in a gym and push them through a session, however finding a place to... do it has been a struggle. A huge huge thankyou to Kurt and Olsen at Bodysculpting and Fitness in Torquay for making this possible. To PT in any gym I would have loved, but to do it in the gym I train in and absolutely love makes it so much better, so thankyou so much for this opportunity. As long as Covid stays away from Geelong and we stay out of lockdown, we will be good to go!! 10.01.2022 Prep Update: 8 weeks in and tracking along well, currently at 91kg after starting at 99kg 8 weeks ago. About 4 weeks ago both my comps were pushed back a few weeks due to Covid so it has given me a nice bit of extra time to prep. Current Calories sitting at 2600 on training days, 2500 non training days with 1 cheat meal a week. This is only 100 cals less than my starting calories at 2700 which I stayed at up until a couple weeks ago when my weight finally plateaued. Cardio at... 40min, 3 days a week. Definitely have dropped a LOT off my lower back where I hold a lot of fat and have so far dropped 10cm off my waistline which I’m stoked with. Overall things going well, loving starting to see some really good changes every couple days and boy oh boy is it good to have the gyms back.........for now 14.5 and 20.5 weeks to go til comp 1 & 2! Time to ramp it up another gear and get shredded!! 06.01.2022 Goal Physique! A week an a half into prep and feeling absolutely fantastic so far! Down 3kg which is a great start but plenty more to drop. Can’t explain how much better I feel after cutting out the shit food I was eating. Waist down 5cm also which is awesome. But what is the goal physique for the cut? This is hands down my favourite physique to date, so would love to see this + another 4-5kg of muscle I have built since which will be exciting to see. Feeling motivated as ever and can’t wait to see what I can do in this next 18 weeks! #icn #icnvictora #ntrlarmy
