06.01.2022 Well as most of you would already know we have closed the doors to the butcher shop (Kingston Meats) basically 12 months after purchasing it. There is a number of reasons behind this decision but I can say that we are walking away with our heads held high! From where we came from and what we achieved and learnt in such a short time speaks volumes. I want to thank every single person who supported us in our journey and I hope you enjoyed our service and quality that we tried ...so hard to upkeep. Our decision to purchase the shop from the Cooper family was so much more than just running our own business. We as a family are saddened to see so many shops close in town and instead of being sad we decided to do something about it! But sometimes things aren’t meant to be and that’s life! Anyway, to the point! A great opportunity has arisen that is too good for us to refuse. On Friday we receive the keys to the Millicent butcher shop. We will be re opening it and continuing to run as a family which is very exciting. We are not 100% sure on an opening date at this stage but it is not far away. Watch this space! So once again thank you for your support over the last twelve months it’s been a wild ride. Note: We will be keeping this page open and will be changing the Name to (George St Gourmet Meats) as we will still be supplying meat around Kingston/robe on request with specials, wholesale and bulk orders.
