25.01.2022 Hey all! Sorry I've been a bit slack on posting once again! Last few weeks Ive spent flat out working on my car to make long distance fishing trips a bit more comfortable so I can continue to keep the content as fresh as possible! Still more work to do before I'm done but its well underway... In the mean time heres something i forgot to post! Prior to starting work on the car i managed to get out and explore a new creek in a familiar system and was pleasantly surprised! worki...ng the whole creek from top to bottom i had encounters with Jacks, Barra and Bass including this respectable 49cm model... was awesome getting a bit of variety for once with a total of 6 Jacks and 3 Bass caught as well as 3 barra who all managed to get the better of me... Unfortunately my camera gear is starting to show its age after years and thousands of hours use so i was plagued by camera failures but still managed to get some absolutely MINT footage with several jack captures right beside the yak in plain sight! Stay tuned for that vid in the future! See more

24.01.2022 Just in case you missed it! NEW VIDEO UP NOW!!!! WARNING!!! EXCESSIVE FOUL LANGUAGE!!! Don't wanna hear it then please don't watch! A day out the front late 2017 with mate Jesse Spence on our 3m Dragon Slayer kayaks... Didn't get our target but did manage a couple toothy ones including a decent size bull shark that gave jesse a good tow around... Also first time running the Dragon Kayaks Petrol motor on the Slayer out in the waves! If you can put up with the swearing I hope you enjoy! 23.01.2022 That moment your still fighting a meter plus fish after it busts straight through the landing net...

23.01.2022 While we were struggling on day 4 David Cod and The Fishermans Journey were scoping out a new system and they managed to find a few little Barra! So needless to say Day 5 Tim Bishop, Chris'sfishingadventures, Fishing with JR and myself went to try our luck! It paid off... first fish of the day for me was this mid 50s barra that took a liking to my CastKing Australia Thumper Minnow in Mullet colour! Would have been happy with that but the fish that came next took the cake and was arguably the best of the trip!

20.01.2022 Hi all! Long time no see! Life's been insanely hectic and I've all but left the world of fishing completely. But after re-discovering a hard drive full of unedited fishing footage I felt I owed it to my followers to edit them and finish up the channel in style! We'll start thing off with a bang and one of the coolest sessions I've had (almost) catching 3 of autralias most iconic inshore sports fish. in one session! It was a hard start but when it turned on it really turned on! some of the easiest jack catches I've ever had including a few decent ones, a couple of surprise bass and what would have been the biggest salt water Barra id ever caught! Hope you enjoy and stay tuned for more episode of the lost files... The Lost Files Ep 1 Bass, Jacks and Barra in Kayak Paradise https://youtu.be/FDxgVz5qxEo

19.01.2022 Not the review just yet but heres a demo on how quick and easy it is to install any sounder on the new Dragon Kayak 3m Slayer! https://youtu.be/csWCGsLfDVc

19.01.2022 Day 2 of my goodbye Bundy sessions saw me at the port for an early morning run on the Dragon Kayak 3m Slayer! Again I only had a few hours spare and I was beginning to get very disheartened as green sea toad after toad kept hooking up and destroying plastics and jigheads! Was heading back to the car trying a few prime spots on the way when this beautiful fingermark smashed my CastKing Australia 3 Scuxx in Bloodworm colour! It gave me one hell of a fight on light gear and I was shocked and amazed when it came to the surface! A bucket lister ticked off I was a very happy camper even though Id missed the catch on camera! With time running out fast and satisfied with my catch I called it a day and hoped the following day would grant me another beautiful fish... and it did! Stay tuned for tomorrows post!

18.01.2022 Has been tough finding the time to get out fishing since the move back down to Brisbane with single father life taking priority one but me and the lad did manage to get out for a run on the golden perch recently! Thought it was a great opportunity to test out the new Badie Blades from CastKing Australia so I rigged us both up with one and a jigging we went... Conditions werent ideal with the wind continuously blowing us into the banks but we were on a mission and didnt let that discourage us too much! The boy on his Dragon Kayak 1.8m Baby Dragon took first fish of the day landing his very first Yellow which followed his blade up and hit right beside the yak as we were winding up to start another drift! He was super stoked and kicked off what would be a fantastic day for us both...

18.01.2022 After such a good day we couldnt help but have another go in the same system on day 6... This time I headed off solo to explore a new part of the area! Early morning my goal was a surface Barra... using the zman hard legz frog unweighted and weedless I managed 3 hits and hookups... all baz, all very small and only 1 that made it in the yak! Just happened to be the smallest of the lot and by far the smallest Barra Ive ever caught haha... the other two shook the hooks! As the... sun rose higher in the sky I switched back to the ever faithful CastKing Australia Thumper Minnow in Mullet colour! The hits came thick and fast but I struggled to keep them on the line... was starting to get frustrated when this pretty 60cm model jumped on and held on! It gave a good account of itself with a bit of tail walking and a few drag screams before I got it in the yak for a happy snap! Not long after I rounded a corner and some very large unknown creature came screaming off the bank and into the water! I think you can guess what happened next! A quick paddle back and an end to the day haha See more

18.01.2022 Day 2 afternoon session with David Cod and Chris'sfishingadventures in the salt water Calliope was an almost doughnut! But this unexpected catch saved (and almost caused) the pain... Bouncing a CastKing Australia Thumper Minnow in Mutant Oil colour up one of the creeks this guy jumped on! Thought I had a little cod but was pleasantly surprised when I realised it was my first ever Bullrout (AKA Fresh Water Stone Fish)... Caught plenty before while cast netting brackish waters and even stepped on one as a kid but this is the first Ive gotten to eat a lure! I don't recommend handling them as they have a very painful and long lasting sting but couldn't resist to get a good shot!

18.01.2022 NEW VIDEO UP NOW!! Saratoga and Bass Fishing The Mary River on Dragon Kayaks!! The first two days on a fishing road trip to brisbane saw Jesse Spence and myself hitting the mary river in the hopes of a few saratoga... We had way more hits and misses than catches but both of us managed a few nice fish for our efforts! The Dragon Kayak 3m Slayers provided the stable fishing platforms we needed for a comfortable fishing experience in this amazing fresh water part of the system! Hope you enjoy! https://youtu.be/BG0VT91198w

16.01.2022 Had a cracking day out wide testing some prototype lures for CastKing Australia... Happy to report they work well! Cracked a meter of cobia first drop of the day and ended up with more yellowfin and long tail tuna than I can remember haha also managed a nice golden trevally and had my arms stretched by a few fish I couldnt stop!

15.01.2022 If your looking for a deal on a Dragon Kayak this might be what your looking for...

15.01.2022 Not a bad way to bring in the new year! Taken from the 3m Dragon Kayak Slayer while testing a prototype bigger version of the CastKing Australia Scuxx... Obviously works but still needs a few more tweaks...

14.01.2022 If your ever near Agnes waters and want to get into some quality fish I definitely recommend kayak fish 1770! Scott is a top bloke and very knowledgeable when it comes to fishing the area... half and full day tours available targeting everything from flathead and grunter to jacks and Barra! Well worth the money imo check out his Facebook page and book a tour ASAP to make sure he can fit you in! https://www.facebook.com/kayakfish1770/

14.01.2022 Couldnt leave Bundy without cracking a bazza so day 3 saw me out for an arvo session hunting the elusive beasts! Again with only a few hours to spare my hopes werent high but Bundy wouldnt have me going home empty! A cast into a submerged lay down quickly turned into dancing silver and this beautiful creature graced my Dragon Kayak 3m Slayers deck! Happy with yet another win I took the rest of the arvo easy and headed home with hopes high for my final target the following day... Id ask people to guess what that would be but Im sure everyone will know already!

13.01.2022 Day 3 of the trip a few of us hit the Boyne salt for basically doughnuts all round aside from a couple micro cod... defeated we called it quits and planed out day 4 when Chris'sfishingadventures, Fishing with JR and myself hit a new section of the calliope river in the midst of a 4m tide! Was amazing to see the huge difference between high and low tide... we paddled across all these rocks on the way out and came back to this wall stopping our journey! Again the fishing was ha...rd but at least it wasnt a doughnut this time! I ended up with a black spot and gold spot estuary cod both under 30cm as well as a micro jack... also hooked up to what would have been the fish of the trip but less than 10 seconds after hooking up it busted through my 30lb leader... judging by the power and the inches of roughed up leader that came back I can only assume a big Barra! Nothing really photo worthy hit the deck but again it was just great to explore a new system... See more

12.01.2022 Great day out at wyaralong dam on the weekend! Pretty sure everyone managed to catch something... I got one carp and 40 tilapia as well as this guy and almost added 1 bass and 1 cod to the total! Surprisingly all on worms... the bass unfortunately dropped the hook yakside and the cod sat there just shaking its head till I put the pressure on! It then proceeded to peel line into the sticks before straightening my hook! Haha to be honest I had no chance with the gear I was using but itll still haunt me as yet another one that got away!

12.01.2022 Fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of the best quality lure manufacturers on the market! I cant speak highly enough of the lures these guys make and who wouldnt wanna join me on the team!

11.01.2022 Highlight of todays outing in the Burnett River no monster by any stretch of the imagination but considering its my first Blue Salmon i'll take it! Just means plenty of room for PB upgrades! Took a CastKing Australia 2.5" Thug Grub in Watermelon colour being vertical jigged on the bottom... Best shot i managed to get before it quick released itself to freedom haha!

10.01.2022 Small potatoes for some but I cant even begin to describe how happy I am that the good people at FB have finally allowed me to change the name of the page! Thanks FB and thanks to my many supporters! Thinking Im gonna have a giveaway to celebrate so stay tuned!

09.01.2022 Guess whos back! Sorry all! I know Ive been quiet for the last 6 months... Its been rough believe me but Im working hard to get myself back on track for a win! Finally managed to get out today and was rewarded with a fat bass smashing a lucky craft G splash and fighting hard! Honestly it could have been a catfish and Id still be just as stoked... Hopefully have some new videos up soon including the ones Ive been promising ummm forever! So stay tuned... Many thanks to all that sent me well wishes during my dark times the support means the world to me!

09.01.2022 Day 4 and my final chance to get out fishing in Bundy! Needless to say I wanted to see red... having the whole day up my sleeve anticipation was peaking and conditions could not have been better for an early morning surface session! On went Josh Bundrens G splash popper and off I went looking for a big dog... not 5 minutes into the day I had my first jack only a pup not much bigger than the lure but it just added to my expectations of the day to come! The next hour or so I ad...ded another 2 pups to the total and dropped a cracking fish that slammed the popper off a lay down... after that the hits slowed but i persisted until almost lunch time unfortunately there were no further fish! I couldnt leave without experiencing that amazing take and fight of a big dog so on went my ever faithful CastKing Australia Thumper Minnow paddle tail and back to work I went... the fishing picked back up then with another 2 pups on the way back to the launch! Almost all the way back a storm was rolling in and the wind beginning to blow hard I was all but convinced that the big jack wouldnt happen but I had one good rock bar left to fish and just for a little extra luck I decided to change my paddle tail colour to the red dog colour... 2 casts in I got slammed and my Dragon Kayak 3m Slayer was suddenly being dragged into the rocks! Pure adrenaline raging through my system as I felt my line pinging against structure I thought it was all over but once again Bundy wouldnt have it and I somehow managed to get this beautiful bright red beast out and on the yak! Going 48cm it was no PB but I can tell you now this fish made me so happy I was nearly in tears! An amazing few days over and done with and amazing send off from a place I will always remember fondly! I may be gone now but Bundy I will be back! See more

06.01.2022 A few hard fighting jacks I filmed while fishing with mates Christopher Thompson, Mitch Townsend and @Tim Donselaar... https://youtu.be/JSk4Hs94Uwc

05.01.2022 Day 7 the final day of the trip and only Chris'sfishingadventures, Fishing with JR and myself left as the others had all gone home so we decided to try out a new location! All tired and worn down from a week of solid fishing and not even knowing if there would be any fish it was a struggle to keep our confidence levels up but persistence once again paid off! Starting out once again with the zman hard legz frogs a lot of casts turned no hits when something rolled just under my lure! With confidence renewed I kept casting the area when this guy smashed the frog and momentarily put me in the sticks! Heart in throat running 20lb leader I was lucky to pull him up but I got him in the end... didnt bother with a measure but was in the low 60s for sure! Hopes renewed for a good day on we fished!

03.01.2022 CastKing Australia 3.5 Thumper Minnows in Mutant Oil colour doing the damage on a couple of salty rats today! Super tough plastics at a great price... check them out at https://castkinglures.com.au

03.01.2022 Just wrapped up a week away exploring the creeks and rivers around the Gladstone Region with the lads on the annual Dragon Kayak Pro Staff trip! The fishing was pretty tough but we all managed a few fish! Started off my account with a bang when this big dog smashed my CastKing Australia Thumper Minnow paddletail in Mullet colour! Anyone wanna have a stab at the size?

03.01.2022 Not long after my boy got his first yellow it was my turn! Bouncing a CastKing Australia badie blade near a bridge pylon this fat 52cm pig jumped on and gave a very good account of itself on the light line... sad to say chaos ensued! Trebles stuck in the net and I couldnt find my pliers so had to resort to using a stick to get it out without getting myself hooked up as well... after an extended period of time out of the water it had a lot of trouble swimming away and needed ...a good 10min of swimming beside the yak before it recovered enough to swim down... had this trouble with yellows before and it really ruins the catch for me luckily one handed paddling the Dragon Kayak 3m slayer and swimming the fish along with the other hand was enough to do the trick this time! Equaling my PB I was encouraged so we fished on but decided not to use the net for any other catches and try to limit the amount of time out of the water... See more

02.01.2022 Morning session day 2 of the trip... A location photo... Yep you know what that means haha was a beautiful creek with plenty of rock and crystal clear water... But couldnt raise a fish to save my life! Was still a great experience taking in the sights of a new system...

02.01.2022 After a lot more casting of the frog and no further action on day 7 of the trip I made the call to switch to a 6 swimmer hoping to get a big Barra! Didnt manage to get one but did get another fresh water jack! Only a pup but man it scoffed the big lure down much to my surprise... I kept on Fishing the swimmer and did get a few Barra hits even saw one come out of some sticks to hit it but couldnt get the hook to stick! All in all a great way to end the trip... had a fantastic time exploring waterways Id never fished before and catching up with the boys that I dont get too see often! Little did I know the fishing was only going to get better once I was back in Bundy!! But thats another story...

02.01.2022 YES THAT'S RIGHT! I'm a BRISBANE local again! My life once again has been turned on its head and the road left me and my boy packing our things and heading back down! I did manage to get a few quick fishing trips in before leaving and beautiful Bundaberg turned it on for me better than i could have ever hoped... Despite the lack of time she said goodbye in the best way possible with 4 trips resulting in 4 awesome fish! First of all was a quick 2 hour morning session with the ...lad up one of Bundy's many fresh water creeks! As the boy was enjoying himself exploring on his 1.8m Baby dragon I was sitting pretty on my Dragon Kayak 3m Slayer peppering the banks with a G-Splash popper that Josh Bundren generously donated to me! The boy had just finished laughing at me explaining how i was wasting my time with the popper when this 42cm Bass smashed it off the top! Very soon after I upgraded with a half tail 47cm model and so began the paddle back... Almost out of the water I had a fresh water eel take interest in the popper which was a cool first experience for me! He never hooked up but hit the lure 3 times in 3 casts and i managed to tease him right beside the yak for the final hit! All of the above was caught on camera so stay tuned for that footage in the near future! Day done I was satisfied but the next 3 days would take the cake with some far better catches... I'll post them up over the coming days! See more

02.01.2022 YEW! About time!!!!!

01.01.2022 I feel extremely privileged to be one of the few people getting to try out the new lures on the way from CastKing Australia! Yesterday was my first opportunity to put their 3.5" Thumper Minnow to the test up one of my favourite creeks and boy oh boy didn't it shine! Started the morning running a Pearl colour unweighted on the surface and managed to find a small queeny before changing to sub surface and to the Mutant Oil colour... The action turned on big time after that! Had more hits than i could count and ended up boating 10 jacks and 1 bass! Biggest Jack for the day is pictured going 46cm... Cant rate these lures enough! They have a unique action with massive body roll and a crazy fast thumping tail that needless to say gets the attention! They are also super stretchy and can be used over and over again unlike some other brands...

01.01.2022 After my little Baz on day 5 of the trip I fished on with renewed vigour! A lot of casts later a quick flick of my CastKing Australia Thumper Minnow in Mullet colour under an overhanging tree got hammered! Thinking I had a decent Barra on I cranked it out and was shocked when this 41cm Fresh water jack came out! The shock level grew substantially when I realised that it was hooked by the weight clip on my weedless TT chinlock jighead! It scoffed the whole lure down and the hook was free swinging inside its mouth! Crazy amount of luck involved in this catch and a very memorable one indeed!
