23.01.2022 God our Father we come to You in our need to ask Your protection against the Coronavirus that has claimed lives and has affected many.... We pray for Your grace for the people tasked with studying the nature and cause of this virus and its disease and of stemming the tide of its transmission. Guide the hands and minds of medical experts that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion and of those governments and private agencies that must find cure and solution to this epidemic. We pray for those afflicted. May they be restored to health soon. Grant us the grace to work for the good of all and to help those in need. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen. We say: We pray for Your grace Lord. See more
23.01.2022 A PRAYER FOR GUIDANCE Almighty and all-merciful God, lover of the human race, healer of all our wounds, in whom there is no shadow of death, save us in this time of crisis;... grant wisdom and courage to our leaders; watch over all medical people as they tend the sick and work for a cure; stir in us a sense of solidarity beyond all isolation; if our doors are closed, let our hearts be open. By the power of your love destroy the virus of fear, that hope may never die and the light of Easter, the triumph of life, may shine upon us and the whole world. Through Jesus Christ, the Lord risen from the dead, who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen. Holy Mary, health of the sick, pray for us. St Joseph, guardian of us all, pray for us. St. Luke, our patron saint, pray for us. We say: grant wisdom and courage to our leaders See more

17.01.2022 We pray for the people of this aching world: for all who suffer sickness, grief, and loss in the time of coronavirus. We pray for all those separated from loved ones by lockdowns or the closing of national and state borders, for all who mourn alone, or are denied a last farewell. We pray for wise leadership in the face of spiralling infections. We pray for physicians, nurses, paramedics, and for scientists seeking new treatments and a vaccine for this virus. We pray ...for medical professionals and hospital staff who have fallen ill, even as they fight to save the lives of strangers. Is there no balm in Gilead? Lord, grant healing to the healers! And may we build a world where human life is valued more than profit and healthcare is available for all. We pray for your church, for your people and clergy and for all who share the Good News in dark times. We pray for our brothers and sisters of all faiths and traditions. We pray for all who have been separated from their communities by this pandemic and ask that your Holy Spirit will strengthen and sustain your scattered church. We say: O Lord, restore the voice of joy and health into our dwellings! See more
17.01.2022 Loving and compassionate God, you call us to love our neighbours and to be bearers of your hope and grace in our world. Expand our hearts and vision to respond with compassion to those around us, who are struggling in this time of uncertainty, anxiety, grief and suffering. Give wisdom and strength to our health workers, and government officials, as they provide leadership in bringing our country through this crisis. We bring before you and into our hearts and minds: Those who...se work and income are uncertain. Those who are isolated. Those who are fearful of an unknown future. Those who are homeless, and all those who offer them support and care. Those who are involved in aged care our agency leaders, staff and residents and their loved ones. Businesses whose futures are uncertain their leaders and staff, school staff and students. Those with health conditions that put them at greater risk. Give wisdom and care-filled discernment to all our Church leaders our Councils, and local congregations, as we seek to creatively live out our worship, witness and service in ways that offer Christ’s life-giving love and presence. Strengthen and sustain us to be your people shaped by your abundant grace, bearers of your generosity and overflowing love. Through Christ our Light and Hope, we pray, Amen. We say: shaped us by your abundant grace Lord. See more

08.01.2022 Loving God, strengthen our innermost being with your love that bears all things even the weight of this global pandemic even the long haul of watching for symptoms of patiently waiting for this to pass... watching and waiting, keeping our gaze fixed on you, and looking out for our neighbours near and far. Instil in our shaken souls the belief and hope that all things are possible with your creative love for strangers to become friends for science to source solutions for resources to be generously shared so everyone, everywhere, may have what they need for your perfect love that knows no borders may cast out any fear and selfishness that divides. May your love that never ends be our comfort, strength and guide for the wellbeing of all and the glory of God. We say: Dear Lord may your love never ends. See more

01.01.2022 Our Father, we trustingly pray to you, asking that the coronavirus may do no more harm, that the epidemic may be swiftly gotten under control, and that you restore the health of those affected and peace to the places where the virus has arrived.... Welcome into your kingdom the people who have died from this illness, and comfort their families. Sustain and protect the healthcare personnel who are fighting it, and inspire and bless those working to control it. Lord Jesus, doctor of our bodies and souls, we feel impotent in the face of this international health emergency, but we trust in You. Mother Mary, protect us and continue to take care of us, and lead us through your love to your Son, Jesus. Amen. We say: Dear Lord give us peace and health. See more
01.01.2022 As we reflect on the lives of those displaced peoples who endure trying journeys to escape oppression, persecution and violence, we ask that the power of your Holy Spirit be fully alive within us. May your love give us the humility to welcome, protect, promote and integrate these brothers and sisters into the folds of our community. God, our father, watch over the men and boys who leave their homes in search of safety, opportunity and welcome. Guide their feet to safe harbor...s. Let them feel your presence as they travel. May they know themselves to be your cherished sons. God, our mother, watch over the women and girls who leave their homes behind in search of lives of security and hope. Bring them to safety; keep them from harm. Let them feel your presence as they travel, May they know themselves to be your cherished daughters in dignity and grace. May they find in us safe shelters for their souls and dreams. Christ Jesus, refugee child, protect and keep from harm all babies and children who, like you, are carried in their parent’s arms to safety. Let them grow knowing you are close to them, having been a migrant yourself. May they find in us safe shelters for their souls and dreams We say: May we build bridges of empathy and compassion See more
