19.01.2022 A challenge I set for myself a few months ago was to try and recreate the half sniper rifle/half scythe 'Crescent Rose' from Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum's animated web series 'RWBY'. It was the first time I'd attempted a build of this scale and a good chance for me to try out a few new techniques. I'm happy with the end result but when I inevitably tackle a version 2 there is heaps I would do differently. To learn more about 'RWBY' you can check out the series on Rooster Teeth's website ( http://roosterteeth.com/ ) or YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/user/RoosterTeeth/featured )

11.01.2022 Here's a look at the build for my latest project: The Boat Chair! Massive thanks to the staff at the SABE Workshop at the University of Newcastle. It was my first experience with bending ply and vac-bagging. Prototype worked a treat but there's always room for refinement. I'll probably revisit this one day

09.01.2022 Things are coming together for tonight's Align Design Exhibition showcasing the works of Hunter TAFE and University of Newcastle students from the Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Bachelors of Industrial Design! Come along to the Design Centre Hunter, located on Tighes Hill TAFE campus!

03.01.2022 Took a bit of time today to clean more than a few years worth of dust off an old Lego set (Creator Series, set 10234 for anyone interested). It was a bit of a mission but it was worth it to get some shine back on those injection-molded ABS pieces. Lego was (and still is) a massive inspiration for me. It was my gateway into the world of design and still comes in handy for the occasional quick prototype.

01.01.2022 Currently working on updating my portfolio. It's made for a good trip down memory lane. Keep an eye out for new project albums in the next few days!
