22.01.2022 Im very happy to finally announce that Im releasing a brand new podcast and through this podcast, I am on a mission to learn the stories of storytellers. In ...each episode I get to sit down with some of my favourite artists to find out why they do what they do and how it impacts their lives. From visual artists and musicians to youtubers and podcast hosts, join me as we hear the stories of storytellers My original hope was to release a 10 episode first season and then see how things go but the ability for people to come to my place to chat has become non existent so I decided Id put out the 6 episodes I have so far and if you like them, I can hopefully talk to some more talented people soon. This first episode is with singer and songwriter Lionel Baker who has just released his debut EP Summer Haze on all major streaming platforms and it is incredible. Ive known Lionel for a little over a year but this was my first chance to sit down and have a proper chat with him and Im glad to say that since then hes someone Im very happy to call a friend. Stories of Storytellers is available on your favourite podcast app with episodes coming out every Monday starting April 20

20.01.2022 Ok, Im think about starting this tonight. Whos in? An interactive live stream tonight, where I write and record a song, from beginning to end, with your input and interaction, from the beat, to the groove, to the melody, to the lyric, together, you and I, we will craft a song. It could take an hour or all week, we will persevere till we have a song, but I will be the whip cracker and final decision maker, as I have to create within my producing and musical abilities, both t...echnical and practical. I only have a basic small home studio and very limited knowledge compared to a real digital studio producer, but this will be an opportunity to learn from each other, step by step, however the expertise level, and create a song in communal accord. Then once mixed, together we can make a video to accompany the song and bathe in its communal creation. Who would be interested in this? All songs must be submitted by the 26th Sept 2020 with an entry fee of $30 to be sent to: artoftheminds.org.au/songcontest All songs MUST be sent in MP3 format with an attached Lyric document and headshot to: [email protected] The top 10 songs will be selected to perform in front of a live audience and a panel of Judges at Torquay Bowls Club, on Sat 24th Oct 7pm. All performances will be acoustic only. The winning song will be featured in the Art Of The Minds Festival 2021 with a live performance, and used to help create awareness of Mental Health and Wellbeing. Multiple prizes are on offer, including a recording of the winning song at Oxygen Colleges Dont Poke The Bear, great gifts from Music Workshop, and other contributions from supporting local businesses.
