25.01.2022 Our successful premiere at #MOSAIC. Really blessed.
25.01.2022 I received a grant today from the Logan City Council for musical engagement and research with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse women in a perinatal context. Grateful to all those who helped me make this happen - Brydie Bartleet, Michelle OConnor, Jenny Gamble and Summer Hancock. There is much cultural strength to draw on here - let us raise a glass to voicing, respecting, loving, and sharing.
25.01.2022 Just spoke on the Katherine Feeney show on ABC Brisbane about my doctoral research, current project Lullaby Land and what it means for our multicultural society... today. Super grateful to the universe and to my dear boss Brydie Bartleet for letting me slip out of office next door and do this for my little soul burning deep within. Happy Vijayadasami (tenth day of victory in knowledge and arts) in Dussehra! Thanks Greta Kelly for joining! See more

19.01.2022 "Lullaby Land" will be premiering at #MOSAIC Multicultural Festival 2019. Lullaby Land is a 4-piece ensemble from diverse backgrounds who have made Brisbane ...their home. Each artist shares a story of their motherland supported by a traditional song of love, care and nurture. The ensemble weaves in and out of the story-song collective, and together various musics, languages, and tales are reshaped in the warm sunshine of Brisbane - the vibrant city that sustains and supports this diversity in ample measure today. Check out this Chinese traditional song played by the "Lullaby Land" assembly: https://cmani4.wixsite.com/lullabyland/music Stay tuned on our Events page for more information about the launch!
19.01.2022 Please let us save our planet. Better late than never. History is being made today with the climate strike in Brisse. Let us do something about the climate catastrophe - please! For our children and the planet. There is not yet a Planet B. Comfort, lullaby and land are all connected to ecologies. It is a pressing need to save the ecosystem.
18.01.2022 Listen to Charulatha Mani, Sebastian Flynn of Multicultural Queensland - MDA, and Greta Kelly speak on ABC radio on Lullaby Land premiering on Oct 13th at 10 am at the #MOSAIC Festival. Oct 8th afternoons recording. We are on in the last 20 mins or so!
11.01.2022 We are premiering on Oct 13th with some wonderful music from across the world. Visit us at MDAs Mosaic Fest!
10.01.2022 What can WE do at home to reduce waste, and act for the climate? -Please Compost -Do not use plastic stuff (not just bags but plastic junk in general) - avoid d...riving needlessly - walk and cycle more - use public transport with patience and responsibility - try to eat more veggies and fruits (try to become vegan if that is an option for your diet and lifestyle) - fly less (use technology like Skype and whatsapp to avoid needless travel) - avoid buying new clothes - recycle your old stuff and buy from op shops - dont waste water - educate your children and students on responsible behaviour for climate action - plant trees / look after greenery and animals These are only a FEW of the many thing that can be done to initiate climate action. Change is incremental and begins at the grassroot level. Be the change you want to see, Mahatma Gandhi said. It felt good to be in todays protest along with other inspiring people including Donna Weston, Leah Marie, Jenny Gamble and Christina Ballico. I hung out with a few of them, and saw the inspiring posts of others. I made a small change to the world by showing up - so have thousands of others. Well done to us all. See more
