21.01.2022 Yesterday I downloaded the Federal Government’s COVIDsafe app. It was easy and only took a minute. I’m asking my fellow Western Australians to do the same.... Downloading the app is voluntary, but it is highly recommended by the Chief Medical Officer. It will help keep our community safe and ensure we can get back to normal as quickly as possible. The app will let you know if you have been in close contact with someone who is also using the app and has tested positive for COVID-19. It will mean we can stay ahead of this virus. But it will only work if Australians do their part and back it in. We need at least 40 per cent of Australians to download the app to make it functional effective. Information is stored locally on your phone and only accessible to state and territory health officials. Any other access or use of the data will be a criminal offence. 16.01.2022 The weekend is here, and slowly we are adjusting back to a normal routine. Just a friendly reminder that we are seating a MAXIMUM of 20 patrons at any time as per government restrictions. 16.01.2022 As you may have heard, today National Cabinet considered the issue of easing restrictions over the coming weeks and months, and set out some guidelines for how ...and when States and Territories should proceed to do so. This process will be a state-by-state decision, and will depend on those individual circumstances. I cannot share with you what this means for WA just yet we are now hard at work to finalise those decisions. However, I can confirm that we will be announcing the WA roadmap and the details and timing of the next phase of eased restrictions this Sunday, 10 May. I know all Western Australians are eager to hear these details, but I'm sure you would all agree that it is crucial for us to take the time needed to make the right decision for the safety and prosperity of our State. 13.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE From Monday 18th May, WA cafes are permitted to seat 20 people for dine in. However, we have decided for the time being Lulu’s will continue to run on the TAKEAWAY MENU with 20 seats seated OUTSIDE only. All drinks and meals will continue to be served as takeaway until further notice. As per the 4 square meter per person capacity rule, we are only permitted to have 3 people within the shop at a time, so we ask that customers order inside and wait outside for ...their name to be called. We would like to thank all our customers for complying with social distancing guidelines put in places by the government, and ask you continue to do so. We have completed our COVID Safety Plan and all staff members have also completed the mandatory Hospitality & Tourism Hygiene Course in order to provide a safe service environment for you all. From Monday, our team will ensure as each customer leaves their seat, the table and chairs will be promptly disinfected with spray and wipe to ensure hygienic safety. There’s going to be West Australians at border check points and looking after the people in isolation facilities across the State. Responding to emergencies; dishing up takeaway; on our wharfs; driving trucks; on a mine site; working in aged care. Not to mention keeping our workplaces clean and disinfected. All over this great State, West Australians will be keeping things running, and holding this pandemic at bay. To them, we say thank you.
