11.01.2022 I have been working on a huge restoration project for Melvilles Farm. Craig Melville has the last know railway cart from Stuart Railway and it was in a sad state of affairs. I sourced local milled hardwoods from my good friends at Redback timbers and kept what I could of the original cart; using the front timbers, steel brackets, wheels and handle. I kept it as original as possible and even imported screws from the UK. I spent in excess of 80 hours restoring the cart to as close as possible to its former glory and it will spend the rest of its years out at Melvilles Farm along with all their other pieces of Australian history.
