I feed the 'mother' every day and bake 1 loaf a week. Any left over bread is sliced up and put in the freezer (there's never much left over!) Here's a crusty farmhouse loaf. 14.01.2022 Today's home exercise is SQUATS Set a timer for 3 minutes. Technique - "tail back, chest up." Lengthen your tailbone backwards to sit, while keeping your head and chest lifted up.... Challenge yourself by completing good quality squats for the duration of 3 minutes. An excellent way to effectively exercise your lower body and strengthen your back muscles. 3 minutes of continuous squats may also get your heart rate up - great for cardiovascular health and a little energy boots! Whether you're at home, at work, or on the bank of a river - you can log in and join a LUME class whenever it suits you. LUME Online Studio will launch in January 2021.

12.01.2022 Dear Lume community, After listening, discussing and responding to the events taking pace around COVID-19, we have made the decision to close Lume for a minimum period of two weeks. It is important that we take responsible steps toward protecting the health and safety of our clients, staff and the wider community, and I personally feel that putting all classes and appointments on hold right now is the right thing to do.... We will be closing the doors to Lume as of Saturday 21st March, and will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. Lume Online. Staying positive, being active and supporting each other is incredible important during this time. Physical activity is beneficial for immune health, physical health and mental health. So for now we are moving to an online platform, where we can continue to deliver personalised exercise programs to each of you. Ill be sending out more information about this next week. 06.01.2022 Todays exercise is FRONT PLANKS Muscle groups: Abdominal, back and shoulder muscles. Focus: Strengthen your abdominal, back and shoulder muscles. Maintain your position without losing form or holding your breath. Can be done on knees and/or forearms. ... Exercise: Start on hands and knees. Position wrists under shoulders then step feet back into plank position. Try not to drop or 'sag' through your hips. Keep your eye line slightly forward. Hold for 20-60 seconds - keep breathing! If you begin to lose your shape, come down, take a rest, then try again. Precautions: Avoid dropping your head or sagging through your hips. Enjoy!

01.01.2022 Todays exercise is SIDE KICK KNEELING Muscle groups: Abdominals and glutes. Focus: Strengthen torso and glute muscles. Improve balance and coordination.... Start Position: Kneeling, place your right hand on the floor underneath your right shoulder. Lift your left leg in line with your left hip. Ensure that your right hip is placed over your right knee. Movement: 1. Lower and lift your left leg while keeping your torso stable. 2. Kick your left leg forward and back while keeping the torso stable. Complete between 10 - 20 repetitions of 1 and 2. Repeat on the other side. Enjoy!
