24.01.2022 I thought I’d share a little E-Shoot goodness with you all, to break up some of the wedding spam! Something I like to offer for the couples I’m photographing is an engagement shoot before their big day.. for a few reasons really! One of the biggest is getting comfortable with each other in a photoshoot setting! With one another and me, too! It can totally be intimidating to have a camera around and if you’re at all nervous, it’s best to get it all out of the way in an E-sho...ot so when it comes to your wedding day you’re a seasoned pro and you know how much fun it all actually is! Another reason I love doing engagement shoots is it gives me a sense of you both as a couple, your sense of humour, your style, what makes you guys click.. so I know how best to shoot you on your big day, that shows you both off in the best way possible!! Also! Another great reason is you really can never have to many photos! So many couples end up using their shots for the wedding invites or wedding website or let’s be real, their Facebook DP

24.01.2022 Two posts in one day but who cares.. CHEEEERS to the weekend!

24.01.2022 Waking up on the day of Alliza and Nicks engagement shoot I was a little nervous.. Not for getting my gear wet.. (I’m all for that!) but I knew these two had made a trip up to Cairns specifically for their shoot and It. Had. Not. Stopped. Raining. I texted Alliza that morning just to see how they were feeling with it all, and her response was exactly the kind of thing you want to hear as a photographer.. that they were keen, no matter how much it rained and were ready to go!...! And that we did.. We headed to Lake placid (fast becoming one of our favourite spots) and these two were a dream. I can’t wait for their big day later this year and I can’t WAIT to show you some more from the e-shoot! My wife and I might have argued about which shots were the biggest winners, and which ones to post first! - Please settle the debate for us! Which is your fave?

24.01.2022 So is anyone else obsessed over the block? My wife and I have always loved watching.. and we may have even started an application a few months after we got married (I say started because we got into an argument half way through and thought maybe that was a sign that it would be a bad idea to apply ) But this year we’re extra invested- not only for our love of building and styling but because one of my favourite couples from last year made it! And I can’t wait to see them smash it! Also super glad we didn’t end up on the block- because this year is nuts!! Who else is team #tessandluke ?!

22.01.2022 Happy Tears! this reaction just shows what kind of words were spoken...the best kind of vows, the ones that touch your soul in such a way that even your emotions can't cope with the feeling stirred up on the inside.

21.01.2022 I can't believe the wedding season is almost coming to an end... Is any body else freaking out at how quick its all going? Last week I had two weddings and my Friday with Carly and Nimesh was a pretty awesome way to kick it all off! Not only was I super close to home, but I got to spend the day with this crew.. The nicest bunch you'll ever meet! I loved the chance to travel around Cairns with them and fall in love with this place all over again!

20.01.2022 This is my version of a Sunday sesh! Hanging with this crew in Port Douglas -my home away from home- was an absolute blast! From the moment I got to Hollys and I saw how relaxed and at ease she was I was pretty amped for the day.. Zero nerves for her and Leigh and it felt like I was just a third wheel hanging out with mates!

09.01.2022 There is something to be said about a couple who can genuinely smile and enjoy each other on their special day in the face of unbearable tragedy, Despite losing a parent shortly before the wedding these guys and their family decided to come together and still celebrate love and do so in style and with such a deep family bond even we were holding back tears of sorrow and joy on the day! Congrats Tegan and Christian! We trust the future will be bright, how could it not with kids and a family like yours!
