17.01.2022 So this weekend was a bit of a disaster to be honest. The plan was to put in the piers for the platform that the pod goes on. We decided to use ground screws as, environmentally, they have significant benefits. Mainly the exclusion of concrete which, apart from the obvious benefits, also means that in 20 years when we are old and decrepit we can take everything out and leave no impact. Anyway, we had the wrong tools for the job and we couldn't get them in. I also badly sprain...ed my hand on the hammer drill, my car got bogged in the marsh and so did my neighbours' trying to get me out. I did have some great helpers though (scroll through) and the weather was sensational. 12.01.2022 Today was all about putting the insulation up. It was a hot day and inside the dome a bit like a sauna but as the insulation went on it (thankfully) became very comfortable. We also had some super strong winds in the area and the pod didn't move an iota which was also something to celebrate.

It was a fiddly job as we didn't know the exact diameter so there was a lot of back and forth but we got there.
