This was my first market and man did I gain some appreciation for marketers - there is a lot of late nights, sweat and hard work that goes into preparing and setting-up a market stall! 19.01.2022 THE LUNA STORY. About 4 years ago, after leaving my lululemon yoga mat outside for days and ruining it, I went searching for a yoga mat. My criteria in my search was 1. Pretty + colourful and 2. Non-toxic and not carcinogenic. And I couldn't find a single mat. So I googled what materials to look for when looking for a new Yoga Mat and I was shocked by what I saw.... Mats made with known carcinogens. Mats claiming to be toxin-free in fact being made by one of the most toxic materials to humans (PVC). Plain black mats with no personality. Dangerous additives + toxins that offgas onto the user and into the space around. And I knew that I had to make the one thing that just made sense to be available for people to buy - a beautiful yoga mat that's good for our health. I honestly didn't think that I was asking for much in my search, but apparently I was. Luna Mats weren't made to blend in. No honey, we're made to stand out. 14.01.2022 OUR NEW YOGA MATS ARE HERE And the first order of business, after carrying 650KGS of mats upstairs to my apartment, was to take some pics before I ship off 1/4 of them for your pre-orders The last few months have been such a whirlwind that I even forgot I got custom white boxes and white carry straps until I opened them up As a creator/artist on every archetype quiz that I take, there is nothing more pure and joyful for me than to see the things that started in my brain ...and my soul come into physical being Owning a business is a crazy joyful ride. It can be full of doubts, loneliness and more doubts. But it's bloody fun and allows me to be playful + in my feminine and I wouldn't change it for the world. But don't worry, we have some EXCITING new products on the horizon for early 2021....... LUNA MATS IN STOCK: We have plenty of Celestial, Dreamy Marble + Desert Peach mats left in stock. And we have ONE Turquoise Maya mat left. We won't be re-stocking these mats again. The rest of our mats will be returning for a small restock in early 2021 as we make way for NEW designs coming.
