Instructions Pour the salt into a large storage container. Add the essential oil, then mix the salt and essential oil with a spoon or whisk (or shake the container). Seal the container. Let the mixture rest for 24 hours to allow the essential oil to infuse the salt. To Use: Add or cup of salt (or 1 cup for very hard water and/or sheets) to the washing machine as the water fills the basin. Experiment with the amount needed based on your desired outcome, ranging from cup to 1 cup. This laundry softener is designed to complement your laundry soap, whether it's homemade or store bought.
