25.01.2022 Some great advice from Jerry!

25.01.2022 Anyone know anyone who might be able to make THIS happen? Come on all you budding artists, you can make it happen for Lupton Park and the Community Garden (which is right near by).

23.01.2022 The garden continues to grow and develop. We have started our seed bank (please PM us for details) and our book library is up and in full borrowing swing. The grapes are coming along nicely and the chokos are looking fabulous. Some of us are lucky enough to touch the new mulcher and the garden art continues to pops up in many and varied places.

23.01.2022 This week we took ownership of a new super dooper mulcher. This machine will also help speed up our compost process and is an absolute dream to use. We also received a small load of cane mulch (NOT) to help get those beds through our annual summer heat. The next few weeks will see a number of the beds closing down in preparation for the summer rest and recuperation process.

22.01.2022 Great coverage for Naidoc day at Lupton Park Community Gardens yesterday

20.01.2022 Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land. We are holding NAIDOC 2020 Celebrations at the Garden from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday 18th November. Come along for some great activities and bush tucker.

19.01.2022 Hands up if you can be proud! I unfortunately failed!

19.01.2022 Photo of the (still extremely young) Golden Oldies. Carol Weekes (the first President) came to visit and take a tour of what progress has happened. Without their vision and hard work we would not have such a garden. Thank you ladies.

18.01.2022 Our garden never rests. Out with the old, in with the new. Plants, that is! A tireless job, well done ladies.

16.01.2022 Had a wonderful morning at Lupton Park Community Garden's 2020 NAIDOC Celebrations planting an Australian Native tree into their Native Bushfood Garden. Big thank you to Lupton Park & Kym for inviting me.

15.01.2022 May we never forget their ultimate sacrifice.

15.01.2022 The Community Garden not only grows many varieties of delicious food, we also grow some lovely plants for their flowers and foliage. Developing your own flower cutting bed doesn’t have to just contain the iconic rose bush. Why not try some other fabulous varieties? Check out this article for a list of amazing plants that could be used purely for their delightful flowers. https://www.flowerpower.com.au//14-cut-flowers-to-grow-in/

15.01.2022 Happy New Year one and all. May your garden bloom and the pest be minimal. Make sure you take some time to pop into our garden soon. We would love to see you there!

14.01.2022 Our Community Library is now open. Take a book, leave a book, share a book, give a book. The FREE library that belongs to all.

12.01.2022 A little Thursday funny

11.01.2022 Now here are some great ideas for your radish plants.

10.01.2022 How great is this? A free downloadable booklet of Indigenous plants! Designed for community groups, schools and individuals who want to connect with native ...plants and understand the medicinal, nutritional and technological use of plants (such as traps, nets and weapons) developed over many, many millennia by Australia’s First Peoples. Also includes handy list of resource links providing detailed information on how to make garden beds, plant groupings and tips on choosing plants, where to buy them and how to keep your garden healthy. 10.01.2022 Our garden simply never stops. From amazing plants popping up each and every day, through to our amazing members who just don’t know how to slow down and smell the strawberries. We now have a new water proof pathway over our boggy part and have our fingers crossed for some rain to test it out. Well done team!

09.01.2022 We would love to thank the kind person who left the orchids near our Lupton park Community Gardens sign on Saturday. They were very much appreciated.

09.01.2022 Darryl's recreation. Started looking for a good use for a colourful toilet seat and now have a lovely photo booth at the gardens. Should get him on to gardening Australia. Freda and Darryl could star in it.

08.01.2022 It’s FrogID week and it’s time to do a count. Come on and join in the fun.

05.01.2022 Now you simply must check out this wonderful You Channel from The Weedy Garden. Beautifully filmed and so informative. Let us know how you go if you try any of his organic methods. https://youtu.be/zsTsnOoXNdk

05.01.2022 We have good news! With the help of Paul Truscott, the Council has now allowed us to continue with a 3 year lease, without the cost of a survey being required. We are very grateful to all those who have supported us in this. This incident has shown us that the Gardens are held in high regard within the Community and that our hard work has paid off. Look forward to seeing you at the Gardens soon.... Darryl Morrison President

03.01.2022 Thanks for coming and sharing your skill and knowledge with all of us!

01.01.2022 Video 3 of the Weedy Garden, how to make living soil or Compashi. You simply must watch to find out more. https://youtu.be/mkAuCfG8SEU
