25.01.2022 Just an update from us! We are still in operation & taking all of the recommended hygiene precautions. Stay safe everyone

25.01.2022 Another long one guys! Sorry Regretfully we need to update all our loyal Customers & friends that we are no longer able to carry out services (e.g log book, warranty & maintenance services) during the stage 4 lockdown period We have been advised that essential & critical repairs are the only ones that we are legally able to carry out. It’s a hefty fine to the business if we (or any workshop) are found in breech and just not a risk we are willing to take. Besides the ri...sk of fines, our health & yours far out ways the gamble. Since the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, we have taken pride in always considering the health & wellbeing of our Customers & our ever hard working Employees. This is just one more step that we can take to ensure everyone’s health. At this stage our plan is to remain on site this week to tie up the remaining essential & critical repairs. Please be assured that after this week, our landline number of 97162006 will be redirected so that you can always get in touch with us if you are experiencing any issues with your vehicle that we can assist you with. We will continue to repair essential & critical items as required. Your other option is to email us on [email protected] We are now taking bookings for services (log book, warranty & general services) from 21st September onwards. Our only advice is that if your vehicle is near due, or overdue please call us ASAP to get booked in. Our experience after the previous lockdown was that we were booked out for a number of weeks in advance once everyone got back on the road. We sincerely wish everyone in our community the very best in getting through the next 5 weeks. If there is anything we can do to help anyone, please let us know. The Luscombe Automotive Team

24.01.2022 We’ve all heard that saying Out of sight, out of mind but this, YOU HAVE TO SEE ....or smell Your cars cabin filter is hidden away from the eye but have you ever wondered what it is? What does it do? When should you replace it? ... Long story short, it’s the element that filters all of the air that comes through the heating/cooling system & stop things like dust , pollen , smog , mouse/rat poo , leaves and even mold spores from entering. You & your family could be breathing all those nasty’s in If it’s not changed it clogs up & the amount of nice clean air in your car is reduced & eventually it starts to stink We recommend replacing your cabin filter at least once per year or as scheduled by the manufacturer. Here’s why.......

We are permitted to continue trading, but it’s not business as usual We will remain onsite, following our strict COVID Safe Plan . Your health & safety and the health & safety of our employees is paramount. And what a bloody year it’s been For anyone who is due for service (providing your vehicle is still running ok & you have no other concerns) please make a booking with us on 97162006 for Monday 11th January 2021 onwards. We’ve done our absolute best to accommodate everyone but we are just filled to the brim Big shout out to all our fantastic Customers, Suppliers & Friends for supporting us ...through what can only be called The Year of WTF’s .

14.01.2022 Hi everyone! Buckle up, this is a long post. But an important one. We would like to update our Customers & the general community on how Luscombe Automotive is handling the evolving situation. At Luscombe Auto it is business as usual, although nothing about the last few weeks has felt usual . We will remain open to service the community for as long as the relevant Government and Health Authorities deem it safe to do so. The health and wellbeing of our staff, customers and c...ommunity is at the forefront of every decision we make. We are monitoring daily bulletins from our guide within the industry, the VACC. There are a few things we would like to request of you, our valued Customers/Suppliers/Friends. Where possible please refrain from making physical enquiries with us. We usually love a good old chin wag but request for the time being, that you make contact with us via phone : (03) 9716 2006 email : [email protected] or social media via Facebook messenger. Please don’t be offended that we are exercising the social distancing rule of 1.5 meters. This is to protect both our staff & the general public. We request no handshaking. Our main priority is to reduce any possible risk to our Staff & Customers. At present, we will offer all Customers a medical grade alcohol wipe/sachet to take after payment. Although our staff are continuing to adhere to strict hand hygiene measures, you are welcome to use the wipe on your vehicle keys, steering wheel, gear stick, etc. We will continue to clean common touch areas of the workshop & office frequently throughout the day. Should you prefer not to enter our office, please call ahead & we will arrange a staff member to collect your keys from you outside. Should you be in a high risk category or have a health condition which makes it difficult for you to drop/pick up your vehicle, give us a call. We’ll get something sorted for you. Although we have not encountered any shortage of vehicle parts as yet, we ask you to be patient if this does occur. Our goal is to get you back on the road ASAP. Lastly we would like to thank you for your support at this time. We have had lots of calls from concerned Customers. Each & everyone of them is very much appreciated. We will endeavour to keep you up to date with our procedures if/as they change. Feel free to share this post so that the wider community can stay informed on how we’re trying to tackle the situation.
