19.01.2022 Another timely reminder as we head into the silly season ....
18.01.2022 It's the 1st of June today, and I have a renewed around rituals this month. I talk a lot about the power of rituals in my coaching sessions, for the way they add meaning and a pattern to our lives. What are some your rituals? Might be things you do daily or weekly? They can be as simple as starting the day with a walk at sunrise, or an annual family gathering at the same place each year, or a weekly catch up with your best friend. My focus for June will be a revamp to my mor...ning and evening rituals. For my morning ritual, I admit to being just a little obsessed about Yoga with Adriene. I have started one of her 30-day classes, this one called Home. Evenings have always been more tricky for me. Fatigue and flopping in front of the TV with a glass of wine has been the norm for way too long. So I am simplifying and just focusing on kids and home. Just one thing at a time. I'd love to hear from you! What are the little things that you do each day that help you stay calm and focused? Or feel like you have made the most of the day?
16.01.2022 Most of you know that I have been working with the NeuroLeadership Institute for nearly (gulp) 20 years. So if you like the messages in this article by the CEO, David Rock, and you want to bring these ideas to action in your organisation, then call me to make it happen.
16.01.2022 I have been following Action for Happiness for several years now, and love their monthly calendars. You can also use the link to add as a calendar to Google: https://www.actionforhappiness.org/joyful-june
10.01.2022 Today's thought patterns are on how to stay calm and focused. So much of the work I do with both individual clients and teams seems to come back to these two themes. Staying calm within overload, overwork, overwhelm and staying focused on the things that matter most. In this newsletter from the father of emotional intelligence is a list of ideas for how to stay calm, for both kids and adults. Have a read and see which ones appeal to you. There are some that you probably already do!
