25.01.2022 #SaveVicSkinClinics We are beyond ecstatic for our beautiful state to reopen and rebuild. We, as Victorians, have truly shown immense grit, resilience and patience. HOWEVER. Every skin clinic in the state is devastated. As an industry highly regulated and educated in infection control both pre and post covid, we are absolutely flabbergasted that we are unable to operate - considering treating the face for most of us make up 90 - 95% of our services.... You can visit a pub without a mask. You can visit a restaurant without a mask. You can hire an escort or get a sensual massage without a mask. But NO. You cannot get a treatment for your acne?? A dentist can work on a patients mouth by using a double barrier (operator wearing a mask and a shield). Home Care workers can attended personal care by wearing a mask and a shield. Injectors can perform injectables on the lips whilst wearing just a mask. Covid testers safely test 1000s of Victorians without a single transmission by wearing a mask and a shield. And yet you cannot have a skin treatment on the face. We can create a safe environment for clients by wearing 2 layers of protection so that our clients don’t have to. We are NOT Beauty Parlours. Premier, we demand you reopen our industry immediately to full capacity and with very comprehensive Covid safe plans and education. We welcome any DHHS directives to make this happen, as we are Covid safe and ready! Please share this post to spread the message! This year has been shitty for everyone but this really puts things in perspective I understand times are tough for us all but the smallest amount will help Karrie, her husband and her 5 gorgeous children. 10.01.2022 After 7 months of closure we are hoping to open our doors to you all very soon. A few changes to our salon have taken place so please read the following. The government has temporarily reduced our services by not allowing us to perform any treatments where your mask will need to be removed. So this means - ... NO lip/chin wax NO lip/chin IPL NO facial services of any kind (Please do not put our staff in an uncomfortable position and ask them to bend the rules for you. No matter how close they are to you, their answer will be NO. There are huge fines for not following the guidelines and our hygiene reputation is paramount to us. You must wear a face mask whilst inside our premises and during your treatment. Please do not remove your mask at anytime including massages. Due to a strict number of client capacity you can NOT bring children or partners into the salon. You will be turned away from your appointment. If you are sick or unwell please call to reschedule your appointment. If you simply do not show to your appointment you will lose your deposit. Sanitise your hands upon entry and you will have your temperature taken. We please ask that you are kind to our receptionist and staff. This has been a stressful and difficult period. We are doing our best to accommodate everyone, whilst also following government guidelines. 10.01.2022 ONLINE BOOKINGS ARE NOW AVAILABLE! We are so excited to see you all and can’t wait to be back doing what we love. A few changes have been made before we reopen. ... All bookings will need to be made online before we reopen. During the next few weeks they will incur a 20% deposit. Due to a difficult few month’s we cannot have clients not showing up to appointments. If you do not show up without calling to let us know your deposit will be forfeited. We ask clients to call first thing in the morning if they have the following to reschedule their appointments; Runny noes Cough Sore throat Fever There will be a new normal of temperature checks, masks, and hand sanitising when entering the salon. Due to our client capacity and our Covid-19 Safety Plan children will not be allowed in the salon unless they have an appointment. We will not be doing manicures for the first few weeks and Jaime will be available for online bookings as of tomorrow.
