24.01.2022 To our valued Customers & friends, The day has come that Josh & I have decided to call it a day! Lushus Cakes will close 31st March 2017. Due to not selling, family growing so quickly, and we both have wanted to venture onto different paths for a while. The date has been set. Firstly, I applaud & Congratulate the mums & dads in small business that constantly make sacrifices for their business & family life. Some days are flowing & glowing & other days, when the public can'...t see behind the scenes.. it's mayhem & automatic pilot, a lot of cussing & praying! And of course the hard work! Passion & heart are two valuable human qualities that are needed to sustain anything in life. When your passion is not 100%, its time to re-invent the mindset or let go & move on. I can not relay how much Lushus has meant to Josh over the years, from doing his apprentice here at 17 & owned from 25. He will always have much respect for Mr & Mrs Dryden & the trade he has loved. I'm getting a bit emotional as I write this now, But it has been a pleasure to be part of a food tradition in Bundaberg, that many people will say... "when I was little, mum bought us in every Saturday.." or " I remember the 'ol bakery at Kepnock " or "my grand mother use to work out the back" Truly it has been very touching. We have had our ups & downs in Business, helped out where we can & many lessons learned. Much joy & honor for being part of many people's Celebrations. We'd like to leave on a humble note & say Thank you! As any business closing down.. we will have specials over the next month that we you can enjoy the last taste of Lushus! X
