04.01.2022 Was given this little elephant last night by a gorgeous little 8yr old! She has entrusted her with me! Was her mother’s so it’s about 45 yrs old! They are here for a week for the start of Ekka as they are doing something with cows from Tamworth! So I have to try and piece down to create a pattern! This is what I really love doing making kids happy! Of course I need to get it done ASAP

01.01.2022 Update on the little pink Elephant remake from the late 60’s early 70’s! All finished I used original eyes, red tongue on large elephant and used the inside of ear where fur was protected for his feet! I then had enough fur to make a small one so shrunk pattern down by 70% and sewed it originally by hand at TAFE on Monday in my breaks and down time in class. I then decided they needed hearts from original fur with a little of the original stuffing so washed more and made thes...e little neck ties which my dad used to wear which where from the Indian reserve in Florida! Katie’s original bear had a black crocheted necklace which I transferred to the large Elephant! And yes I do come up with this stuff while I sleep Katie and her mum are meeting me late arvo to pick up! Excited and scared of what she will think! I hope she loves them as much as I loved making them See more
