20.01.2022 Today Pat and Karren took another armful of donated items to Mission Possible Volunteers. MEMBER'S have been busy sewing Masks, Headbands and Ear Savers for nurses and nursing homes. (There are Masks for sale at the Craft Cottage that are 3 layers, washable, Children's, Small Adults and Large Adults $10.)... Pat (president) thanks the members and the community for their ongoing contributions in collecting/donating fabric, cotton, elastic, buttons (300 buttons used for this delivery) etc and in sewing for our Community Projects. Bring along your sharp scissors, pins and needles. ( maybe a machine) We will need straight sewers, snippers, someone to turn pillow slips, stuffers and hand sewers. A job for everyone or just coffee makers!! It is a casual day with lots of chatting and coffees.

First day of using the new air-conditioner in the new craft room! A lovely surprise to get it in so quickly and reward from all the raffles being run during this tough year!... New Christmas RAFFLE has started and any money raised will be for a defibrillator.

05.01.2022 Today we had a quick class on how to make personal masks. Just a few photos to show we really do get serious and work hard! Beautiful quilting fabric and elastic from Tradway at Stapylton. Had such a hard time choosing fabric - so many. Our members are covered now so it's back to sewing for the hospital and nursing homes!

03.01.2022 REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING THIS THURSDAY 6TH AUGUST, 2020. All members will be making a personal 3 layer mask after MEETING - 30mins out of your time. Please bring machine, (we do have 4) pale green/blue or white thread, scissors and pins.... Some thread is available. All masks will be precut and pattern available to take home. Those of us are that are sewing masks are keen to share the skills to keep you and your families safe.

03.01.2022 With social distancing in full force today every bit of room was used plus the kitchen and front desk!! 16 members joined together today (glad to be out of the wind) and made little sock dolls. Most went home to children and grandchildren but some are for the fiddle mats. Even though the photos show how much concentration was needed, there was plenty of chatting, laughter and coffee! A fun day!

03.01.2022 What do you do on a miserable windy Saturday? Easy, you get to start sorting boxes donated by Lions Club Pine Rivers. Box 1 - wool, all colours, thicknesses and sizes! These will be used to make little cuddle toys and textured squares for fiddle/fidget/Alzheimer/children's and stroke rehab mats for local hospitals and nursing homes. Box 2- coffee time!!
