10.01.2022 Here is a switch board upgrade that was completed yesterday. All the sub circuits have been upgraded to single pole rcbo’s as this is the safest your switch board can be. A revised version of the electricians bible (as/nz 3000) will be released by the end of the year stating that by law, all sub circuits of installations be upgraded to be on a safety switch. The reason this is so important is to ensure that nothing happens like what happened when those poor people died instal...ling the insulation for the government a while back. They where stapling metal staples into wood to fix foil insulation to the beams and as a result of hot water, stove, lights, ac’s and other circuits not being on safety switches, they died. With the growing number of home renovations happening around the country due to the boom in renovation TV shows, it not only is going to be law but also the smartest thing you can do for the safety of yourselves and also for any trades people you may have working on your house or who may have to crawl into your ceiling spaces.
