25.01.2022 Jess Baker shared her 2020 journey with us today (so far!) from her beautiful experience in India at a meditation retreat, to renovating the house, pursuing her desire to build her business to support, help and empower those her come to her. And then spoke so clearly to us about our four bodies, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual that each house and record their experiences- and once recorded harder to erase than just hitting the delete button! But lucky for us sha...red her wisdom and knowledge of how to discard the unwanted and not allow those old records to hold you back. Those who were there were endeared and uplifted by Jess, her attitude, positive outlook, smiling face and beautiful Spirit. She also surprised me by offering to do some card readings, which were spot on! Add some laughter, music and prayers to that, and it was a perfect afternoon, let’s pray we can share some more, Thank you Jess, love you! (Old photo!!!!) See more

24.01.2022 Good afternoon, hope you are enjoying the blue skies and sunshine. After our seemingly long cold winter it is very uplifting. I drew a Mysical Celtic Blessing for us all today. It is A Blessing to Find the Truth. I trust there is a message within for you. A blessing on this time, and on you, so that the truth can be told, and thus pour down upon you it’s unique freedoms. May you be blessed with knowing the truth of your own soul - and let the transformative powers of tr...uth bring you the light, so that what was once obscured now begins to shine, and what was uncertain now becomes defined, sure, glittering in its certainty. Let the blessings of truth be your liberty now, for with truth there is growth of wings that lift you up and beyond the current burdens that have kept you grounded. Let the speaking of the truth bring you comfort, let the open hearted honesty of it cure any confusion, and let the conviction of your new knowledge bring you the rewards you are so dearly due. Let those who know you, who hear you, be healed by the contact of the purity of your words and yourself - and let no one be in any doubt as to the worth of your words and the quality of your character. There is no need to be anything except your own blessed, perfect, honest and open self. Revealed to you now is the truth of others - their motives laid bare, without adornment or manipulation. Let the lamp of truth shine into all that is dark and unknown, both within and without, and let the words you have longed to speak fall freely without concern from your lips. Truth shall bless you, and you shall bless others , when you show, by example, the glorious simplicity of living within the power of your own truth. Live the truth of your soul - and May the souls that share the truth be blessed forever. BLESSED BE See more

22.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. Bit sad last night as I had my treats ready and no children were in the street or came to the door. I kind of expected that but still a little sad there was a fun night missed! I know many people scoff at Halloween- not me - happy for kids to have a night of make believe Halloween is an ancient Celtic festival of SAMHAIN, pronounced sow-in, over 2000 years old. The Celts celebrated their new year on 1st November, it was the end of summer and th...e harvest, and the beginnings the dark cold winter, often associated with human death. Celts believed the night before new year the boundary between two worlds became blurred. (Still today many Spiritualist acknowledge that closer connection at this time). So the Celts lit bonfires, wore masks and costumes to ward of any evil ghosts or spirits that may have slipped through! As spiritual peoples they welcomed the Gods of harvest, solstices and seasons. But on this one night they believed there was need for protection from gate crashers . It later became known as All Hallows Eve, and later as Halloween . (See, nothing to do with America!!!) Ancient rituals, worship and thanks to great Spirits is fascinating. To be respected, mindful of the times. We may see and do things differently now, but basically, as Spiritualists, we still understand that spirits of the universe are there to work with and for us, that gratitude and mutual respect and care of intent opens the door to communication and understanding. Our centre is open next Sunday for 2.00pm service. We trust that those of you who attend will be mindful of the current social adherence. Have a wonderful week. Rev. Sue

21.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. Beautiful weekend. I really just watched in through the window and enjoyed the open doors and fresh air, as for me it was a zooming weekend! Gippsland shone working with Spirit today. Firstly Denise Wilkinson (you know anyone who debuts at LVSC we consider our own!) and yours truly shared platform at Geelong Spiritualist Church, this morning. It was a lot of fun, working with and watching Denise was a wonderful experience- how quickly she has grown,... become confident, trusting and a loving light worker for the world of Spirit. Just wonderful. And this afternoon as I joined the VSU service there was Anne Murphy and Erica Yenina as guest mediums. Both magnificent, as you would appreciate- I was glowing with local pride!! It reminded me of that old saying the grass is always greener on the other side Which of course is totally untrue!!! But sometimes we aware so busy looking elsewhere we forget what is right under our noses. We have everything we need right here - from the beautiful natural resources, the facilities, and of course the incredible talented awesome people! Including you! Don’t ever forget to show your pride and appreciation of where you live, the time and place, what you have and who you are. I hope you all have a wonderful week, look around with fresh eyes, do your grateful lists and appreciate every little thing. Rev. Sue See more

19.01.2022 Due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret to announce that for the time being our centre must close its doors again. Please keep in touch through this site and other avenues. If anyone needs help of any kind please reach out to me. The seven principles of Spiritualism :... 1. The creative divine spirit of the universe whom we call God. 2. The unity of all created beings. 3. The communion of Spirits and the ministering guides. 4. The continuous existence of life beyond the veil of death. 5. Communication between incarnate and discarnate Spirits. 6. Personal responsibility for all our actions whilst on earth. 7. A path of eternal progress open to all souls. May these principles guide and comfort you. Love, light and blessings to you all. Rev. Susanne Welsh and the committee and members of LVSC.

18.01.2022 Hello everyone, it’s Sunday again, this was a quick week! It has been filled with Spiritual work - although it does not feel like work to me - more pleasure and learning. I have the privilege of working with a few groups of amazing mediums, all different, and yet all the same in their love of the work for and with spirit. I watched Pananda DonnaRae Kohlman and Tracey Newton today on platform at Goulburn Valley Church, (via zoom of course!) and their passion and love was e...vident and made their presentations uplifting and awesome. So I think I will no longer use the term workwith Spirit, but will replace it with passion! On an entirely different note, I was reading Crystals, The Jouney Begins, are you Coming? And I want to share one little paragraph in the chapter on History : Crystals were used in the ancient civilisations of Lemuria and Atlantis, of which we usually only associate with the lost city of..... It is believed the people who inhabited Atlantis used crystals in ways that are not yet fully understood by us for communication, as power sources, in transportation and in all sorts of healing It goes on to say the misuse of crystals by some for selfish means eventually resulted in the legendary catastrophe. We often talk/study crystals in our groups, and acknowledge the energy and power they hold from the very core of the earth, but I think most of us go home and just enjoy our pretty Little stones and have some vague idea of what helps with healing, love etc. but there is so much more to learn and understand. Imagine if we had the understanding the Atlantians did, we could power the world!!! (Would there still be those who would misuse them for selfish means?????......). Food for thought. Instead of dabbling around like we seem to be doing, should we go back to the powerful energy of the earth? There’s your homework! Find out more about the crystals you use and hold, and understand the strong energy within them. Have a good week, stay well and happy. Rev. Sue

17.01.2022 Jess Baker will be our guest speaker on Sunday 2 August. Jess is a life coach and facilitator of the website Journey to a Better Place , a support group for those suffering Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. She has proven in the past to be not just a great speaker , but generous and canny enough to leave us with a little tip to make our day to day lives more positive. She will of course be screen locked but I know her beautiful personality and soul will jump right through that! 2.00pm start as usual. All welcome.

16.01.2022 What a lovely crowd today, and great to see an old face back after so long! Robyn Wade spoke of what really matters? , inviting input from everyone. Sorry, there isn’t just one answer! Love, relationships, laughter, kindness, forgiveness....the list goes on. Robyn’s further explanation of the soul and spirits journey, our earthly responsibilities and our understanding of lessons learnt and taught was a wonderful expansion of the 7 principles by which, as Spiritualists we s...trive to live. Thank you Robyn, there was something for everyone in your presentation. Evidence of survival was delivered by students of LVSC Sally Frandsen, Kylie Haymes and Robyn Wade. While I looked on like a proud mother hen! Well done all of you, you all hit the mark and gave evidence of loved ones watching over us. Your trust in spirit and messages of guidance were pure gold! 15.01.2022 Monday morning reflection... O Light of God, anointed by your morning light I lift my spirit to receive the gift of this new day.... Open my eyes to the beauty that surrounds me, that I may walk through this day with the kind of awareness that calls for grateful living. In all of creation let me see the brightness of your face. Shine in my heart and on my life, filling me with joy, creativity, hope and laughter. Draw me into the radiant glory of your presence and into the small lights of those with whom I live and work. Inspire me to take time for those who are discouraged. May I live the kind of presence that enables others to feel at home. Great Dawn of God, hear my prayer. Amen ~ from our friend Macrina who now enjoys the fullness of life and light See more

15.01.2022 As expected, it was just wonderful to reunite with Gabrielle Barclay and Taleen Melkonian today. Taleen shared her experience as a light worker, and a citizen over the last year in particular. Her observations, concerns for herself and others, and her own growth, acceptance and balance. It resonated with everyone in the room and invited comments and lovely feedback. Gabrielle displayed her strength and clarity in her mediumship as she gave evidence of survival and connect...ion with such relevant messages of guidance for the recipients. She was amazing. And Taleen was compelled to give the last message to a grateful guest. Wonderful job ladies! (And thank you for your lovely words of the energy and people of LVSC!) Must also thank Sandra Delacorn for chauffeuring Gabrielle to us! Another beautiful Sunday to launch us all for the week ahead! Rev Sue. See more

14.01.2022 Just left the VSU service (via Zoom) where the focus was the history of the building of VSU Ringwood East Church. (Opened in October 1998). Dominic Listro shared the history of its beginning. Next week, of course, the focus will be 150 years of history of the VSU servicing our communities. Such an important month in the history of Spiritualism in Australia. I know we are thankful that we can share this via the great internet, but can’t be condemned for wishing it was oth...erwise! Have not had a chance to totally research today’s announcement but on first glance it appears to mainly be about Melbourne. If I find we are able to recommence some of our groups I will of course advise you immediately. The photo below is called Iridescent clouds - known as fire rainbows . This is a diffraction phenomenon caused by small water droplets or ice crystals individually scattering light. Remember you are all fire rainbows - continue to scatter your light and see the beauty created! Rev Sue.

14.01.2022 What a weekend ahead for LVSC! First our colour workshop with Dianne Barca on Saturday (fully booked) and then on Sunday 11 April we have the honour of welcoming MAUREEN OCKENDEN and ELAINE as our medium Platform guests. As many of you know, Maureen could be considered a matriarch of our philosophy. Renowned medium, speaker and teacher, there is much to learn from her. And Elaine, having worked with Maureen for many years, is also an extraordinary medium, with much knowledge and experience. I urge you to not miss this one! 2.00pm start as usual. All welcome.

13.01.2022 Sunday 28 March our platform guests will be Gabrielle Barclay and Taleen Melkonian. It has been a long time since we have welcomed these talented experienced light workers. I am looking forward to a happy reunion, words of wisdom and great mediumship! 2.00 pm start as usual, all welcome. See you then.

12.01.2022 Today was our final day of the 6 week Creating Change course. We finished with a buffet feast and a special presentation and personal sessions of Running of the Bars healing with four wonderful practitioners. Big thank you to Leah Nielsen for her concept, work, facilitation and commitment to the course, and her generous donation to our centre. Also, to all the attendees, who came with open minds, commitment, enthusiasm and delightful energy - congratulations and thank you. Rev Sue

12.01.2022 I advise our members of the passing of BARBARA CULLEN. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful day with her and her long time friend Janet, a couple of years ago, when they shared their Spiritual and life stories with us. Their amazing teachings, weekend retreats, trance mediumship, and absolute understanding of our place in the Universe. Right here in Morwell. Life time friend, mentor and teacher of our own mentors Dawn & Don Roberts. I remember her saying spiritual work is serious business but don’t forget to laugh and have fun. An extraordinary woman. What a privilege to have met her. So it is with absolute trust and faith that we thank the heavenly Angels for wrapping their golden wings around the blessed soul of Barbara, and gently lifting her to the love and light of eternity.

10.01.2022 Good evening lovely people. Hope you have had a good week and have re- adjusted to our stage 3 circumstances. I know it has been challenging, none of us like to go backwards. So best we look at it as going forward, and having had a practice run, it’s easier for us this time. I understand it is difficult to hold the same optimism as the first time, when we expected to go 3,2,1 - made it!!! Woohoo! This time we don’t know whether it will be 3 to 4 and more, or again 3 to 2 ...and less. So now, more than ever, one important thing to do is our daily grateful list. Think it, say it, write it, whichever appeals to you, but don’t neglect to do it. I think we can all put the internet on our lists, it enables us to share messages, jokes, photos, do classes, courses, and join groups. Awesome tool! (Just be selective!). The basics always - roof over your head, food, family, hot water, power and loving pets! (And so much more....). Always be hopeful, optimistic and positive. I leave you with a quote from Silver Birch: A miracle, if it occurs, is not a breach of order, but expresses the purpose of God, which also determines the order of nature. It is therefore nothing irrational or capricious. Love and blessings to you all, Rev. Susanne Welsh See more

08.01.2022 Our doors opened today for service, and it was awesome! Sharing songs, prayers and laughter after such a long time raised the energy so high I thought the roof might lift! Sally Frandsen and I presented a light hearted look at the challenges of recognising and learning our karmic lessons, followed by Christine Thorburn delivering amazing readings and demonstration of psychometry. Sally agin took the floor giving evidence of survival through her great mediumship. The beautif...ul noise of chatter and laughter over coffee afterwards was music to my ears! Thank you to everyone who was part of today, both from here and the Spirit realm, bringing their love and fellowship to our beloved centre. (Luckily we only had to count earthly bodies, for if we had to counts all souls there today we would have been well over the limit!) Blessings to you all. Rev. Sue. See more

06.01.2022 I arrived at the centre today with no idea of the agenda, no platform workers, just pure trust! Thank goodness I had trust! I arrived to a waiting crowd, only one committee member, and 7 newbies to our centre. Of course it worked out just fine, with an open forum sharing experiences and understanding of spiritualism, with plenty of input. Then when it was time for evidence of survival there was just me to deliver - but wait! Up stepped Steve - trained by the Reverend Isobe...l Eade, and involved with LVSC almost since its inception. He went back to his past platform work like a duck to water! (And may I say loved it!) Thank you Steve, and spirit and trust! Great feedback from all, I’m a happy Rev! Rev Sue (Ps. Thanks Phil for your quick repair of the ceiling panel!!) See more

03.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. I had the pleasure of listening to Les Price this afternoon (via VSU zoom). We know Les is an inspirational speaker and today was no exception. I will share some of his key words with you: Love, Serve, Trust, Meditate, Realise. Spiritual trust. Place of knowing - act on your knowing. Spiritual discernment, find your own truth. Step into your spiritual power.... Your soul has purpose and grace. His full talk is available on VSU Ringwood East website if you would like to listen to it in full. To expand on his message, I share the following with you: In this world, many will seek to guide you. They will hold a torch aloft and show you a road that they will promise you has a destination that is heavenly, or healing, or a home for the spirit in which you will be loved, in which you will finally belong. May this blessing light the torch of your own inner guide, who alone knows the truth of your soul. May you begin to sense out what is best for you, without pride, or vain public deliberating, May you simply connect with a light within, and from that light shine out and with that light, the glowing radiance of your own intuition, the guide of your own Spirit, May the road you take be softly illuminated. So trust yourself, follow your own intuition, heart and soul. When it comes from a place of light and love, it is always the right path for you. I am still not aware of any changes that will allow us to meet within our centre. (ATM, only outside, which is inappropriate and uncontrollable by us). I will post any changes immediately. I hope you all have a wonderful week, I know many have embraced the opportunity to visit some of Gippsland’s beautiful places. Both for a chance for an outing, and to support our local businesses and small villages. We are blessed to live in such an amazing area, snow, rain forests, lakes, ocean, mountains and lush green landscapes! Light, love and blessings to you all. Can’t wait to be together again. Rev. Sue.

01.01.2022 Good evening. Hope some of you, like me, had the pleasure of listening to Alan Bennett this afternoon giving an overview of 150 years of continuous service by VSU. For your information it is the longest running Spiritualist church in the world ! (Scotland was established earlier, but ceased for a period). Remarkable people who gave years of service including Alfred Deakin and George Eldred (who worked tirelessly to have Spiritualism recognised as a church/religion, and hav...e the Witchcraft Act revoked - that including those practising mediumship! ) . I understand George maintained that the Spirit of Alfred Deakin assisted him through the quagmire of government legislation, which rings true as Alfred Deakin was a pioneer of the freedoms given in our constitution. it is a wonderful history of service to Spirit and the unity of all souls. Our congratulations to VSU. After today’s announcement it is planned to reopen our centre on Sunday 8 November for worship together. More details on this to come, but mark it in your diary. Have a wonderful week, love and light to you all. Rev. Sue
