AFLSSQ services a region the size of 405,500sqkm in South Western Queensland. ... AFLSSQ provides legal assistance to victims in the area of Domestic/Family Violence, Child Protection and Family Law, Victims Assists. The mission of AFLSSQ is to develop and deliver culturally appropriate, high quality services to make and maintain inclusive relationships and collaborative partnerships and to advance and affect practices that empower women, men and children to make informed decisions about families, communities and lives in ways that are respectful, responsible and right for them and their communities. 11.01.2022 THE LWOB 2020 WRITING COMPETITION COMMENCES TODAY! The LWOB writing competition is an excellent opportunity to showcase your writing skills, express yourself and challenge yourself! Competition Dates ... Open of competition: 27 July 2020 Close of competition: 15 August 2020 The Prompt What do you believe is the most important issue/s relating to the COVID-19 pandemic? Issues may include, but are not limited to, topics in the following areas: public health; privacy; racial discrimination; economics; domestic violence; mental health. The Format You may write an essay, article or blog post. Please submit your entries in word format and adhere to a maximum word limit of 800 words. If you choose to include statistics, direct quotations or evidence in your writing please reference the correct source. Judging criteria The entries will be judges based on the three following criteria: Creativity: Response to theme is innovative and thoughtful; Communication: Submission is well-written, cohesive and clear; and Engagement: Piece is engaging and/or entertaining to read.
