12.01.2022 Adelaide Lyceum member Nadine Williams joined the Lyceum women of Helsinki in their beautiful clubrooms en route to Oulu where more than 200 women and partners will be gathered for the IALC cultural meeting.

07.01.2022 Another birthday for the grand old lady, the Lyceum Club of Adelaide Inc. This one was celebrated in the elegant new premises of the Naval, Military and Airforce Club of South Australia. Special guest was the Lyceum's popular patron, Mrs Lan Le who was accompanied by her husband, the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency, the Honourable Hieu Van Le, AC. Mrs Le fanned out the candle and cut the magnificent Vili's cake. Club members enjoyed drinks and an elegant lunch after which the vic-regal pair did a lot of good-spirited mingling.

04.01.2022 The first Lyceum Special Event in its new home at 111 Hutt Street brought the Adelaide Festival Fringe right into the handsome rooms of the old NM&A mansion. Members of both clubs attended and even some from the QAC to wine and dine and learn from Fringe director, Heather Croall of the rich diversity of entertainments arrayed in the massive Fringe program and how very many of them were joyful for the mature demographic. Demonstrating this, with a special sound system provid...ed by Amplify 200's Jonathan Heath, there was a performance by The Little Sisters, a marvellous Adelaide trio who perform tributes to The Andrews Sisters. They were joined for a couple of numbers by Peter Noble, playing the Bing Crosby of the Andrews Sisters past. They brought the house down. As if this was not enough, Adelaide musician, composer, performer and writer Pat Wilson introduced a Fringe act called Hamlet at the Bottle-O. This witty work about life behind the counter at the bottle shop was written by Wilson and performed by comedian Nick Mercer. Applause, applause. And, just as a special bonus, Pat Wilson gave the Lyceum's lovely old Steinway Grand its first professional try-out since it made the perilous trip from Leigh Street. See more

02.01.2022 An unusual special event was the visit of Adelaide's renowned Bugs'n'Slugs specialist Kristen Messenger who brought not only enlightenment and enrichment on the world of the invertebrates around us but also living specimens. She was a sensational hit with the members.
