25.01.2022 Can't wait to get back into dance class....

24.01.2022 Dear Dancers and Friends of the Dance Group. We were planned to open our doors this week to begin dance lessons. But in the light of what is happening in Victoria at the moment and the need to register as a Covid Safe venue for dancing, etc. I also need to work out procedures to record participants attendance, make strict rules and guideline that need to be followed, etc. I am going to hold off classes and see how the whole thing pans out. If numbers rise in NSW obviously we... will follow Victoria. So, again dancing may wait a few more weeks. I want everyone to be safe.... Thank you for your understanding.. Thank you for your support.

19.01.2022 Dear Lyceum Hellenic Dancers, As we all watch what is happening with the Coronavirus pandemic in the Australia and around the world, it’s probably safe to say that this situation will, unfortunately, get worse before it improves. The World Health Organization has announced that COVID-19 is a pandemic. ... In consultation with our dance instructors, parents and recommendations from the health organisations (health.gov.au) we the have made the decision to suspend all activities, dance workshops, private dance lessons, dance performances and dance lessons in general both Adult and Junior. Till further notice! A few days ago, I was trying to organise antibacterial wipes, antiseptic hand wash, for our classes. However, due to the panic buying I was unable to obtain any form of hand sanitiser or soaps, etc. Based on the very nature of Greek dance, in particular the holding of hands, the close proximity of dancers, I cannot ignore the potential and heightened risk of COVID-19 spreading as a direct result. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our students and families for their understanding, this is not a decision we want to make as we know how much everyone loves to Greek dance!! Look forward to sharing some amazing and awesome experiences, we will take the time to learn new dances etc so once we are back on track we can return to having an awesome time in class. Please stay safe. Regards The Committee. How to protect yourself and others Everyone must practise good hygiene to protect against infection and prevent the virus spreading. If you have a confirmed case, you need to isolate yourself to prevent it spreading to other people.
