This is going to be bigger and better year, which see's the likes of professional athletes competing along side our local athletes. The events start on Saturday with Barge 2 Beach - this is an ocean swim with a difference, starting on a barge and swimming back 2km's to shore. ... He is affectionately known as "Fast Eddy" so weaving and gettng around the field is all part of his game. Eddy enjoys the gym as it is his 'free time' OR his 'own time' to work on becoming stronger and he is determined to improve himself for what he enjoys doing.. Playing Football
09.01.2022 HEALTHY BREAKFAST HASH RECIPE- Higher in fats better source of long term energy for aerobic exercise Ingredients: *1 tablespoon olive oil *125g raw butternut squash, chunks... *6oz medium zucchini, chunks *149g (red) bell pepper, diced *1 smoked chicken sausage, chopped *2 whole eggs *1 small avocado * Sea salt & pepper to taste Garnish *cilantro *green onion Steps: 1. Set skillet on medium heat and add oil and butternut squash. Cook the squash for about 8 minutes or until the outside of the squash is brown and the chunks can easily be pierced with the fork. 2. Add zucchini and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Then toss in bell pepper and chopped chicken sausage. Cook everything together for about 5 minutes. 3. Make two holes in the skillet and crack 2 eggs into the holes. Cook until the clear part of the egg turns white, about 2 to 3 minutes. 4. Either plate the food or eat it directly out of the skillet. Enjoy the meal with fresh avocado to boost the fat content and make the meal creamy so it's easier to eat.

08.01.2022 Hulk Smash Chicken, Asparagus & Avocado Pizza - Like the name suggests full of good fats for those in the bulking phase of training Ingredients: *6oz chicken breast *1 piece wheat nan bread... *4 asparagus spears *1/4 haas avocado *1.5 tbsp Greek yogurt *1/2 tbsp minced garlic *1/8 cup parmesean *1/8 cup mozzarella Steps: 1. Set oven to 180c 2. Season chicken breast, then cook with nonstick skillet 3.Chop asparagus and dice an avocado 4.To naan bread, add garlic, greek yoghurt, parmesan, asparagus, avocado and chicken and mozzarella 5. Bake for 10- 15 minutes at 180c

05.01.2022 Sweet, Spicy & Salty Fruit Salad - Try this refreshing snack to cool down in the warmer months to come... Syrup: *juices from 2 oranges *juices from 3 limes... *1 tablespoon of honey *2 teaspoons arrowroot mixed with 1 tablespoon water Salad: *24 Oz (680g) watermelon, cut into 1- inch chunks *10 Oz (285g) mango, cut into 1- inch chunks *10 Oz (285g) pineapple, cut into 1- inch chunks *1 pint (550ml) blueberries, washed *6 Oz (170g) blackberries, washed *1 medium cucumber, semi-peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks *1/2 red bell pepper, diced and 1/2 orange bell pepper diced *cup chopped mint *1 jalapeno, chopped remove seeds *sea salt to taste Ingredients: 1. Squeeze limes and oranges into a bowl and mix in honey. Set a nonstick skillet on medium heat and when hot, pour in the sauce. Bring it to a light simmer, then pour in the arrowroot starch mixed with water. Stir immediately so the sauce does not clump and remove from the heat to let cool and thicken, approximately 6-8 minutes. 2.Add all of the ingredients for the salad in a large bowl and mix everything together. 3.Pour in the sauce/syrup and gently fold the fruits and veggies in the sauce. 4.Season to taste with sea salt.

01.01.2022 LOW -GI BANANA, CARROT & OAT PROTEIN MUFFINS - These muffins are great to keep up those muscle gains Ingredients: 6 jumbo muffins *1 cup oat flour *1/2 cup oatmeal (rolled or instant)... *1 scoop your preferred protein powder *2 bananas (somewhat green) *1.25 cup shredded carrots *3tbsp coconut oil *1 egg *3/4 cup 2% Greek yogurt *1 tsp sweetener *1 tsp baking powder *1/2 tsp all spice *1 tsp baking soda *1 tsp cinnamon PROTEIN CREAM *4oz reduced fat cream cheese *7oz 2%Greek yogurt *1 scoop preferred protein powder *1 tsp vanilla extract Steps: 1. Set oven to 175C 2. In a bowl, mix chopped bananas, coconut oil, egg and sweetener 3. In a separate bowl, mix all dry ingredients together- oatflour, protein powder, baking soda 7 baking powder, cinnamon and allspice 4. Add banana mixture to all dry ingredients, as well as greek yogurt and carrots. Mix thoroughly 5. Evenly divide among muffin cups. Bake in the oven for at least 25 minutes at 175C 6. For protein cream, mix all ingredients together in a bowl and chill in the refrigerator. Serve on top muffins like icing
