20.01.2022 Tried Hot Yoga while having some family time in Adelaide. First day having some headache after it but get used to it after a few more sessions. Got lots of sweat and feels good and refreshed afterwards. But REMEMBER hot yoga is not for people with primary or secondary lymphoedema. Hot temperature will increase your fluid load on your lymphatic system and thus making your lymphoedema worse because the already compromised lymphatic system of the affected limb cannot catch up with the workload imposed. DO NOT think of sweating the fluid out from the limb will help lymphoedema!! It wont!

17.01.2022 Weather is warming up now. Dont forget to put sunscreen on when you go out. Sunburnt is one of the risk factor for lymphoedema if you have lymph nodes removed from your surgery. Try to get out in the early morning or in the late afternoon when the sun is not as strong.

09.01.2022 Went to Adelaide and came across this shoe shop today on Jetty Road in Adelaide (Grundys Shoes ). Found lots of shoes which can be useful for patients with leg lymphoedema. I always suggest shoes which can cover most of the dorsal (top) part of the feet.

It is held in Balwyn Library on Saturaday morning 9-10 am, from the 16 Feb. It is a gold coin donation class and all money will be donated towards National Breast Cancer Foundation. An assessment before the class is mandatory. Please contact us if you wish more information.

By having a rest, we can minimize fatigue and allow them to be ready to support during all weight bearing activities such as bathing babies and taking babies out for a walk.
