18.01.2022 MINISTER AGREES THAT SA NEEDS A GARMENT SCHEME - Equity update The ALA have received a response from Jack Snelling, South Australian minister for Health follow...ing on from recent meetings and representation made by the ALA, LSGSA and LAA in regards to establishing a compression garment scheme in South Australia. The Minister agreed that it would be beneficial for the State Government to provide a garment subsidy scheme for eligible lymphoedema sufferers and that while the funding does not currently exist, a full business case will be prepared, with a view to securing funding for the scheme as part of the 2018-19 State Government budget process. Congratulations to the team who have been involved in this advocacy Margie McConachy, Karin Stepputtis and Monique Bareham and those who have supported them

You would be asked to complete an anonymous online study of about 30 mins in duration. You would be asked questions about yourself and your medical history. You will also be asked about your thoughts, feelings and behaviours about your advanced lymphoedema. 08.01.2022 The Lymphoedema (Patient) Registry (ANZLoR) has been relaunched The Lymphoedema Registry (ANZLoR) currently has over 1,200 participants and has been relaunched ...with a goal of 2,000 participants by the end of 2017. ANZLoR collects information from people living with lymphoedema. The information is used to inform the lymphoedema community and health service providers of the experience and needs of people living with lymphoedema. This also provides the ALA with up to date and authentic information about lymphoedema which it can share with other organisations to advocate for improved services for all those living with lymphoedema in Australia and New Zealand.
