11.01.2022 Mayor Stuart Mackenzie speaking to the Quilpie Shire Council motion to the LGAQ annual conference "That LGAQ lobby the State Government to impose no further restrictions on the Lake Eyre Basin,but if changes are intended, a Regulatory Impact Statement should be developed, along with genuine and meaningful consultation with local government" Motion carried . Stuart stood up again to move that the LGAQ lobby State and Federal governments to coordinate and commit additional funding to seriously address digital connectivity issues; that carried as well!
