Regardless of today's results, I know that the Burdekin will come through this, because of the people that call the Burdekin home.

08.01.2022 It is the eve of the 2020 election and the end of what has been a challenging and tough week for so many. On one hand, it seems trivial to encourage people to vote in the midst of a global pandemic. On the other hand, from my perspective, I feel that it is essential that we have a strong, dedicated and experienced council to lead our community through this immensely challenging time. Tomorrow is the final day to vote, if you are yet to vote, I encourage you to do so, safel...y. Some tips and advice: - Bring your own pen or pencil to use - Follow social distancing guidelines (1.5m from other persons) - Wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face Polling booths are open from 8am to 6pm tomorrow, Saturday 28th March 2020 at the following locations: - Ayr PCYC - Brandon State School - Clare State School - East Ayr State School - Giru CWA Hall - Jarvisfield State School - Kalamia State School - St Colman's School

01.01.2022 Thankyou everyone for your phone calls, messages and texts. Counting hasn't finished and so I'm hoping for a result tomorrow. Stay safe!
