09.01.2022 Hi everyone, a few weeks back we posted about an idea to hold a little function and donate the proceeds to a little family cafe like ours that was struggling through lock downs on the Northern Beaches. We are very happy to announce that the United Services Club on Watt Street has offered to host the dinner. This will make it a very special night indeed. The USC is Newcastle's best kept secret and is something very near to our hearts here at Lynch's. It will be a real exper...ience to have a lovely meal and a few drinks surrounded by some of the most incredible history and artifacts that you will find in Newcastle. If you would like to attend then please get in touch. We have posted our three course menu here. Cost will be $69pp and everything will be donated to the family who runs Cabana Beach Kiosk on the Northern Beaches (Lynch's is donating the produce and our staff have offered to donate their time). 03.01.2022 Order up! One rainbow thanks the harbour delivers

03.01.2022 We’ve had an idea, please share it about and see who wants to lean in and give us a hand. Its hard to imagine how somebody in our position (a little family business) within the Northern Beaches LGA would be feeling at the moment. To trade your way through the first round of closures on a glimmer of hope of a decent festive season, everything is looking good, plenty of bookingsand then out of nowhere the rug gets pulled out. It must be just gut wrenching after everything we...’ve already been through this year to be sitting in an empty business at peak season taking phone calls as the Christmas bookings get cancelled. So we’ve had an idea that might let us help at least one family in that position this Christmas. We are going to hold one of our little table de hote dinners for around 10 people and find a family cafe being heavily impacted by this new wave of closures to donate the sales to. Our management will donate the food and our staff have offered to donate their time to put the night on. We figure this way that’s one booking they still get, its not much but at least it communicates a little solidarity with our industry peers, that we are thinking of them and have our fingers crossed for them. We know a lot of small businesses aren’t in a position to follow suite at the moment but we are hoping we might start something locally with any of our peers that can manage. The Newcastle that we know and love has always understood community. Just one booking, or one tab or one table. If enough of us can find a little sister business in the closure area to do this for then I’m certain we’d lift some spirits over the Christmas season while showcasing what’s really special about Newcastle and Novacastrians. Generally we do these as a three course private function for 10-20 people at $69pp but for this one we might make it up with a couple of smaller groups. Date to be confirmed will be in early January.
