22.01.2022 During the 'Take a Risk' Art unit, students had the added challenge of working with whatever resources they happened to have at home due to lockdown. This took the theme "Take a Risk" to a new level as students experimented with media like nail polish, coffee, make-up as paint, white out tape and tea to create their art as well as media they may not have tried before such as collage, watercolour or digital art. Students chose an issue they were interested for the theme they explored in their body of work.

20.01.2022 Today, Saturday the 10th of October, is World Mental Health Day. One in five Australians are affected by mental illness annually, yet many don’t seek help because of stigma. During the COVID-19 pandemic, prioritising mental health and wellbeing has been more important than ever. This World Mental Health Day the message is simple: Look after your mental health, Australia.... It might seem hard to focus on mental health and wellbeing at this time, but prioritising this is more important than ever. Making a mental health promise is a great way to remind yourself to look after your wellbeing. 17.01.2022 Girls are leaders within our communities challenging the status quo, at the forefront of many global movements for change despite the barriers and gender st...ereotypes that try to hold them back. This International Day of the Girl, we celebrate the power of girls and young women. We insist on their right to be safe, educated and healthy and we empower all girls to believe they can achieve anything they set their mind to. Victoria is proud to be leading the nation on gender equality. Girls’ voices must be included in every room where decisions are made. By investing in girls today, we create a fairer, safer and more equal tomorrow. We create a more inclusive community, and a stronger economy. Everybody benefits from gender equality.

04.01.2022 "When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous"(Michelle Obama) Help the Lyndale SC community transform lives by taking on the #waterwalk challenge and get a sense of what it’s like for women and girls all over the world who collectively walk more than 200 million hours every single day to collect essential water. By taking on the #WaterWalk challenge this October, you are helping to tackle UNICEF’s mission to make sure that no child needs to w...alk more than 30 minutes to collect water by 2030. Please help Lyndale SC contribute to UNICEF's mission by donating what you can. Every little bit helps and is very much appreciated! Thank you in advance for your generous support.
