14.01.2022 The Sun came out on time. Matt and Kate's wedding was beautiful! A large wedding with 12 attendants and 160 guests but still very personal . The setting on the golf course was beautiful and I got to drive a golf cart!

13.01.2022 Now that its finally happened, the law has been changed to define marriage to be between 2 people (regardless of gender) - what a relief! I was holding my breath in case some last minute hitch occurred. But thankfully no hitches (except those between two people). I am happy for those whose marriages can now be recognised in Australia. Its a shame you cant get married again in Australia- but you can still have a ceremony here to affirm your vows. Im even happier for those who can now marry in Australia if they want - among their family and friends. And Im happiest knowing that the next generation of Australians wont even think it is an issue. Marriage is between 2 people- as simple as that!

11.01.2022 A reminder that you must complete Notice of Intention (NOIM) and lodge it with a celebrant at least one month before the wedding. It's possible to apply for a shortening of time but it's only granted in extreme circumstances. It's also wise to book a celebrant as early as possible so they can guide you and it's gives them plenty of time to prepare your unique ceremony.
