11.01.2022 UPDATE RE MARKET REOPENING Further to the PM and Premier's briefings today, I am now in a position to update you in relation to when the Lyndoch Community Market may reopen. At the moment, Stage 3 will be implemented in SA on 29 June and the guideline for indoor venues will be one person per 4m2. Although that is good news, indoor markets are not included in Stage 3. It only covers venues where people are stationary such as cinemas, hotels etc. and not for indoor venues wher...e people move around. This is due to the increased risk of transmission. We must therefore wait for restrictions to ease further and perhaps even wait for the 4m2 rule to be relaxed or removed before reopening due to the small size of the Lyndoch Institute. At this stage, I envisage the earliest the market may reopen is August/September 2020 and that will all depend upon the "COVID Safe" conditions in place at the time ie. temperature checks, register of attendees, cleaning, ongoing capacity monitoring, enforcing social distancing etc. As the market is run by only one person, conditions will have to be manageable for the market to be able to be reopen lawfully and operate safely. I hope that I may able to bring you some good news in the near future. In the meantime, please send a message if you have any queries.

10.01.2022 Just updating everyone that the market will remain closed until further notice due to COVID. We are aiming to reopen in November/December but this will depend upon restrictions in place at that time.
10.01.2022 Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the reopening of the market on 12 December due to the current COVID restrictions. Even if restrictions are relaxed on 1 December, that does not give enough time to adequately publicise a market which has been in hibernation for so many months. Pease stay safe and rest assured we will be back in 2021 when things settle down.
