24.01.2022 The excitement on a student’s face after their first lesson! That’s why we are here. Sharing our passion for aviation, helping others enjoy the freedoms we have. We aim to keep flying affordable, and most importantly, keep it FUN!

22.01.2022 Beaut flying weather for a couple of days before the next cold front arrives. A reasonably typical winter pattern: perfect for light sport aviation!

18.01.2022 Congratulations to Australia’s newest light sport pilot! Well done Steve on passing your flight test this morning.

16.01.2022 Hi folks, due the SA Government direction regarding travel into, out of and within the Barossa Valley, we must temporarily suspend operations. We’ll see you on the other side of this.

15.01.2022 Another general aviation pilot introduced to the lighter side of sport and recreational aviation, on a beautiful mid-winter’s day. Such different weather to the last week or so! What a pleasure to fly above the beautiful Barossa Valley, home to Barossa Helicopters where our school is based, as our new pilot got to know our Tecnam Eaglet.

14.01.2022 Great news! With the relaxation of restrictions imposed because of the corona virus, we are able to resume flying training. Whilst there will still be some requirements around cleaning the aircraft before and after each flight, and ensuring physical distancing whenver out of the aircraft, it will be largely normal operations. Of course, if you are unwell for any reason, not just a cold or flu, we ask that you refrain from visiting us please. Our school is situated in a joint user facility on a joint user airfield on private property. In any case, if you're not feeling 100%, we always recommend that you leave the flying to another day. We look forward to helping you in your aviation journey. Give us a call, and we'll get you started!

12.01.2022 A busy weekend with a couple of our new students, who come to us from the Yorke Peninsula. Both undertook practice forced landing training, as well as heading over to Gawler for some circuits where they need to keep eyes out for tow planes, gliders and other traffic, all of which behave in their own different ways. Of course, in the pattern and training area at Lyndoch our students also need to keep eyes out for the Barossa Helicopters, and as we saw today, the valley’s resident Wedge Tail Eagles Real aviators, showing us how to fly properly!

12.01.2022 An afternoon navex across the Mt Lofty Ranges and out to the Murray River - what a great way to start the weekend for one of our students! A little breezy with pre-frontal northerlies, but that provided some good training, and it was still pleasant aloft. #tecnam #recreationalaviation #lightsport

10.01.2022 Lyndoch Sport Aviation has been largely off line for a while as a result of the restrictions put in place by the government due to the coronavirus. However, we hope to be back in the air training very soon. We can't wait to get back in the air! Winter is a great time to learn to fly. Give David a call to discuss your dream to fly! 0403352190

08.01.2022 Late afternoon on a late autumn day, a tinge of green showing through in the valley, clear blue skies and nil wind: perfect weather for a first area solo. Well done, Steve!

08.01.2022 It’s August already! Only one month left of winter. Is it time to brush up your skills and regain your currency, prior to the better flying weather just around the corner? BFR due? We can help. Call, message or email us now.

07.01.2022 Another great afternoon’s flying, with a beautiful sunset to finish.

06.01.2022 What a pleasure to knock off work on a Friday afternoon and still have time to introduce our new student, Tim, to light sport flying in the beautiful Barossa Valley! After the pre-frontal wind of earlier today, we had a gentle 5 knots down the strip. It doesn’t get much better than that!

03.01.2022 Magic. Late afternoon flying means sunsets like this! What a privilege to fly in the beautiful Barossa Valley.

01.01.2022 Congratulations to Sarah on achieving her RAAus navigation endorsement this week. Not one to rest on her laurels, she backed that up today by adding an RPL flight review with Controlled Aerodrome endorsement to her list of achievements. Whilst an RAAus pilot certificate may be the goal for many, for some like Sarah, it is the first step towards a career in aviation. Whatever your flying goal or dream, Lyndoch Sport Aviation can help you achieve it. Why not give us a call?

01.01.2022 Wow! Tecnam is going ahead in great strides. What a beautiful aircraft the new P92 Eaglet is!
