25.01.2022 DRUGS LOCATED IN VEHICLE AFTER COLLISION A 24-year-old Cranbourne male has been charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, driving whilst under the influenc...e of drugs, possession of controlled weapons and other driving offences after crashing his car into a roadside barrier. At 12:10am this morning, members from the Dandenong Frontline Tactical unit patrolling on the Berwick-Cranbourne Road in Clyde noticed a vehicle lose control and crash into a roadside barrier. After going to assist the driver police suspected the male was drug affected and his collision was due to him driving under the influence of drugs. A search of the vehicle was conducted, locating a large quantity of illicit drugs believed to be methamphetamine and GHB. The male was taken to hospital for his injuries under police guard and later taken to the Dandenong police station where he was charged and remanded in custody to attend the Magistrates Court.
