16.01.2022 SALE HORSES 2 1/2 year olds (2018 born)

12.01.2022 Quick check on the tenants before going to bed. They get a visit most nights just to be sure their accommodation is all in order. No complaints thus far

11.01.2022 A little something different for introducing a bit for the first time. When doing so I want the horse to learn to grab the bit and hold it in it’s mouth. There should not be creases, it should lightly be touching the corners but not hanging too low or else the horse will stick its tongue over the bit. This worked a real treat (pun intended) because when I finished with her for the day after lunging and working her, I began to take the bridle off and she was happy to hold onto the bit in her mouth. I simply waited a little for her to release it but that is the desired result, ultimately, for her to happily accept the bit, understand what it means and for it to be a positive experience especially for an initial exposure.
