25.01.2022 It gives me such a warm feeling when mums continue on to enjoy breastfeeding as they are meant to, especially after a rocky start. A bit ironic when they are calling me well down the track for advice on weaning!

24.01.2022 Coastline photos frrom Byron Bay and Lennox Head. Really cold night at Bangalow, great catchup with family

24.01.2022 Far removed from lactation: on February 24th, Gab Robinson, founder of the fashion school in Newcastle will be giving a talk at the clothing museum premises, Brough House, Church St Maitland, next to Pender Place shopping centre. You may know family members, friends, other families with interests in this topic. If so, please let them know of the event. It is on at 3 pm, light refreshments and small entry fee. We have on display currently the works of textile and design students from several of the high schools in the region. Please pass this on for me.

23.01.2022 I am now a fully fledged minister to the dying and bereaved. This ministerial calling has been a journey of over two years. Warm thanks to my husband for his patience and support during this time. Please pray that my guidance and nurturing for those seeking such assistance is driven by compassion and understanding for their needs. This journey has helped me come to an awareness of myself in the presence of those with greater needs. God bless and thank you to all those who have sent good wishes my way.

23.01.2022 Baptism day, memories with my great, great grandmother, my great grandmother my big sister and my mum and dad. Happy times. Poppy Lynette Drinkwater.

22.01.2022 Those who have a pet will understand my feelings today. Ore little puppy of 15 years has sadly pased away. Lots of wonderful memories and companionship in my husband's and my life in the past 10 years. Being a great companion to my husband since his retirement, he often joked about getting more sense from the dog than me!! Life will be a little empty for a while.

20.01.2022 Beautiful morning, waking up to the sound of the surf at Broom's head. Dolphins happily playing in the ocean, whale sighted too far out for a pic.

19.01.2022 To all the mums connected to my page, a very sad situation has occurred and donated milk is neded asap. If you could donate breastmilk, could you please get back to me. Most appreciated.

15.01.2022 A wonderful mother's day to all mothers from all ages, those who we still have with us and those who are looking down on us. The very best career in the whole world. Embrace it and nourish it.

15.01.2022 So nice on IBCLC day to receive a note from a DAD. Dear Lynette, the service and advice you provided was profesional, caring and expert. We were lucky enough t...o be able to breastfeed our little girl for almost 12 months. On two occasions it was only your availability and advice that allowed us to continue. Without you on these occasions our breastfeeding would almost certainly have stopped. As a husband, who like all husbands, is left to feel quite helpless when breastfeeding becomes difficult, knowing you were just a phone call away was a huge relief and weight off my shoulders. The ability to call you and have a response immediately and a visit to the home that day was absolutely amazing. The service you provided was absolutely exceptional relative to all medical treatment I've ever experienced in any field. Your service was not good, it was great! To be so quick and dedicated, to spend so much time with a "patient" not being concerned about the time it takes to assist the mother. From a husband who felt helpless, and for you who made such a difference to my family, I offer you my most sincere and humble thank you. Your caring nature is a gift and I thank you for sharing your gift with my family. Yours gratefully Micheal D. See more

14.01.2022 A beautiful evening celebrating the birthday a 2 great ladies. 88 years young and full of life. My mum on the right, Shirley, and twin sister Eunice, on the left.

14.01.2022 Heading off to warmer climes. So looking forward to be "on the road again".

12.01.2022 Ah, the serenity. Peaceful camp at Cooyar, called the Swinging Bridge Camp site. Conveniently located behind in Cooyar pub. About 4 people in the pub, big night!! Pub fully decked out in Queensland origin paraphernalia.

11.01.2022 Graham's birthday with our grandchildren and great grandchild. Such a happy memory for him.

10.01.2022 Almost zero degrees in Glen Innes last night. The Scottish heritage is quickly fading away, the garbage bins in the street are one of the few things that are a reminder. The largest department store is now in a sad state, taken over by Coles as a grocery store. Onwards to warmer weather

09.01.2022 Reflecting on cards and lettters received from mums and dads over the years. The opportunity to help so many with their breastfeeding journeys is something that I will be forever thankful. I have met some very strong and brave women, very supportive partners in these years that has enriched my life enormously. The irony in my life, albeit a beautiful irony, is that I now have engaged in an extra activity that not many have the opportunity to consider. As well as being a small part in the life of a beautiful newborn, I now have the great privilege of being part of a family's life at the loss of a loved one. Bereavement ministry seems to take me full circle in my life, from birth to death. With God's good grace, I pray I can continue on these paths for many more years to come.

08.01.2022 Feels like Christmas. Beautiful centre piece with candles lit and unlit, a memory from Nuremberg in 2011.

08.01.2022 Another birthday done and dusted.

03.01.2022 In Lake Macquarie Private Hospital tonight awaiting jaw surgery tomorrow. I am a little nervous, but lots of confidence in surgeon and anesthetist. I am in their hands for about 6 hours. Not a pretty face post op for a while. Feels weird to be the patient after so many years on the other side of the bed. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers
