21.01.2022 ! ’ ! ! ’ ? It’s going to be a fun day! On the day of your session, we will meet at your home or at your on-location destination for your photoshoot experience. If you’ve booked a full , mum will have her hair and makeup done, while I chat to your family and ensure everyone is comfortable. Then, I will capture the must-have images discussed during your pre-session consultation ...as well as any candid moments that naturally arise as you and your family play and interact with each other. I will guide you into your poses that feel natural and show your connection to each other. Your session will last between 60 and 90 minutes and refreshments are provided. I will act silly with your children to keep them engaged and I might even enlist their help because kids just love to be involved! Capturing the personalities and the love within your family is my top priority. Continue to enjoy complimentary snacks to end your session and enjoy this special time together as a family. 20.01.2022 ? I love that photos are like a time machine! Sorting through my own family photos today, I found this one. It’s one of my favourites of my kiddos a few years ago. We played, we laughed, we giggled! It was a fun afternoon and we went out for a family dinner afterwards! Today they’re a bit bigger and I miss them being this little! 19.01.2022 #throwbackthursday to this gorgeous little one from an in home lifestyle session. If your baby is a little older, they may not always curl up into those sleepy poses. Which is why I always love to include the more candid moments in between. Newborn sessions last for around 3 hours to allow plenty of time so you can feed, change and settle your bubba.... It’s these in between moments where I still have my camera out clicking away and the magic happens. 16.01.2022 Q. When is the best time to have my newborn photo shoot? A. When your sweet new baby is between 7-12 days old, so the best time to book in is when you are pregnant - the sooner the better - so you can tick it off your list.... This early stage is best if you’re super keen on those peaceful curled up sleepy poses. If your little bubba is older than this, then it’s not too late! While we can certainly attempt a sleepy curled up pose, I always follow the cues of baby. I will never force your precious little one into a pose just to get that shot. We will move on and try a different set up. Some of the best newborn sessions I’ve had is where the baby is awake because capturing your interactions with the human you just made is priceless. Approximately two weeks after your session, we will meet again in the comfort of your home for your Reveal & Order Session.... This is where you will see your beautiful, edited images for the first time and choose your favourites and place your print order. I'll help you design a package that is personalised just for you. We can measure your wall space and I can show you exactly how your favourite images will look up on your wall. Your session fee will be deducted from your final order and you have the opportunity to take home your favourite prints on the day. Custom-designed albums, memory boxes, traditional prints, canvases and custom framed wall art are some of the exciting options available to be ordered at your Reveal & Order Session. 06.01.2022 ! ?! Choosing what to wear can be overwhelming at the best of times, let alone deciding what the whole family should wear for your family portraits! Here are a few tips to get you started:... Choose a colour that you love, add a complementary colour and some neutral tones. If you’re thinking of putting your photos up on the wall at home, consider the decor in your home - the colours in your portraits can complement your home interior style. Consider the location of your session. If your session is at the park, some pops of colour such as red work really well against the greenery. At the beach, soft blues and pinks or greens look lovely together. Mix your chosen colours throughout everyone’s different clothing items and accessories. You all don’t have to match exactly. It helps to layout everyone’s clothes on your bed to get an idea of how it will look together. Wear what feels comfortable and what you love. If you don’t feel great in what you’re wearing, you’re likely to feel uncomfortable during your session and this can impact on your final images.
