Re-sizing and re-shanking rings of family heirlooms can sometimes be tricky with aging metals that have already seen so many days and sometimes, you just never know what you are going to get when you start working on them. Variations of metals and solders, sometimes porosity or just won’t anneal enough to work the metal with ease, but it’s always such a joy to see the end results and bring these loved pieces back to life.
