24.01.2022 The Lynwood Soccer Academy Parents Committee held their annual quiz night on Saturday 20 November, the turn out was fantastic with over 130 people attending. Competition was fierce with 6 teams all within 5 points of each other going into the last 2 rounds. The teachers table won by a solitary point in the end. Initial estimates indicate that we raised $3000 on the night.a superb effort!! A big thanks to all who attended, we look forward to doing it all again next year!!... Tony Campbell

20.01.2022 MUSIC DEPARTMENT NEWS!!! AUDITIONS FOR OUR NEW JUNIOR CONTEMPORARY BAND!!! If you are in Year 7 or 8 and want to audition for the new Junior Contemporary Band, please come and write your name down on the music room office door!! 14.01.2022 UNIFORM SHOP Update The appointment system is very popular at Uniform Concepts, families can visit our store during these quieter times rather than wait for the busyness of January. We are very mindful that due to social distancing practises in place, queues in January may be longer than normal so we are encouraging as many families to visit us sooner in a more controlled environment.

09.01.2022 Alinea (formerly the Spine and Limb Foundation of WA) funds a number of generous grants each year for students in families where a parent/caregiver has permanent spinal or limb paralysis or limb loss. Imagine how much it could help families if they were to gain a grant. Funding is $750 per year for lower-secondary students and $1 000 per year for upper-secondary students. Eligible families can receive funding of up to $5 000 over their child’s secondary schooling years. 08.01.2022 Lynwood Senior High Soccer Academy students again went above and beyond expectations as they hosted the 2nd annual Primary Schools Special Needs Soccer Carnival last week. With eight schools and twenty teams participating it was a great day of football despite the soaring heat. Maddington took out both the Senior and Junior comps with Tom (Success) and Lachlan (Maddington) winning the star player awards. Well done to everyone involved!

05.01.2022 THE 2020 ARTS SHOWCASE - That's a wrap!! Congratulations to all staff and students who performed or produced artwork to result in the successful night that was The Arts Showcase 2020!! It was a fabulous evening that showcased the talents of our musicians, dancers and visual/media artists! I am extremely proud of all involved!!! 01.01.2022 THANKYOU to our wonderful Year 10 Year Coordinator Emma McClelland for organising the recent Year 10 River Cruise for our students. This event was by all accounts extremely successful and well attended by both students and staff. I would like to say A BIG THANKYOU and well done to Emma and the staff who attended and made the night very special.
