25.01.2022 Since the thunder storm on Wednesday night we have had many calls in relation to their automatic gates not working. In some cases we have found lightning strikes have impacted the electronics inside the system. Not necessarily a direct hit, however lightning can cause ground currents that can effect the system due to the sensitivity of electronic equipment that is close by. These photos were taken on our property in Macclesfield after the recent thunderstorm. This tree was relatively close to the back of our home and was hit by lightning which sounded like an explosion. 16.01.2022 Our drive to the bush fire affected area of Tonimbuk to quote on gates and automatic gate systems that have burnt due to the fires. We came across this portable metal Charcoal Kiln one of only two known in the state, (circa 1940) narrowly missing the brunt of the fires and burning part of the mortised post and rail fence. 15.01.2022 We replaced the existing gate motors on our customers gate with Italian motors. One of the gate leafs is programed to close behind the other due to the tag behind one of the leafs and the angle on the driveway. 14.01.2022 The landfall on this property varied on both sides of the driveway. An automated sliding gate was to be installed by us at Yarra Valley Gates so it was crucial the gate posts were spot on and the fence flowed smoothly with the fall of the land. 14.01.2022 A new gate automation system replaced the old solar powered motors. This set-up was changed from solar to mains power due to the frequent use to ensure it would operate reliably during the winter months. The system was replaced with heavy duty Italian made motors and was also fitted with a GSM module to allow the customer to have full control of their gates no matter where they are, all from the convenience of their phone.
