19.01.2022 Exciting Announcement of Hope Island Train Station! Three brand new Gold Coast train stations have just been announced as part of the Cross River Rail Project and one of these will be situated in Helensvale North (Hope Island), next to Mangrove Jack Park just off Hope Island Road and just a few minutes from Lyra. The $120 million project will be completed by 2024 as part of the $5.4 billion investment in rail right across the south east.... The Helensvale North station is expected to be used daily by around 2,800 people. This is a significant investment in improving the rail network between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, delivering ease of access to the light rail network to Griffith Uni, Gold Coast Hospitals, beaches and major shopping.

18.01.2022 A Giant Leap Forward for Solving M1 Congestion State Government Starts Work on Second M1 The Queensland Premier has confirmed that consultation for Stage One of the ‘Coomera Connector’ will begin next month, with the road promising to provide relief for the hundreds of thousands of motorists stuck in gridlock between Brisbane and the Gold Coast daily. The green light has been given to the $2.4 billion project. The area between Nerang and Coomera will be built as a priority ...first, with the first stage making up 17km of the 45km highway and taking a whopping 60,00 vehicles off the notoriously busy stretch. Construction of the second M1 is set to begin by 2023, eventually making up a six-lane highway built all the way between Nerang and Stapylton. Areas like Coomera, Pimpama and other North Gold Coast suburbs are currently experiencing rapid growth rates of over 4% annually of people moving to these areas, and the second M1 will assist in catering for this growth. (The red line represents the current M1 and the yellow line shows the proposed second M1)
